I have the Canbus plus kit from DDM Tuning in 4500K. I love it! No vibrations or any other issues.

I have the regular 55w ultra kit from DDM in 5500k and it's got the tiniest bit of blue... Might get the 4500k bulbs. I'm of the same opinion as Camel89, no issues. Hella bright, might need to tweak your aim a bit so you aren't blinding other drivers.

Hey guys any issues with your kits at all? I am going to return my Saber kit and pick up an ultra Canbus. Any chance you have any pictures? Thank you for your help!

DO NOT GET the SABER LED kit unless you pick up the error eliminator codes, not sure if that will even fix it (super loud whining on startup) but mine are all screwed up.

I'll try to get some pics. I did it a very quick job, about 10 minutes, so I was not able to get the ballast mounted on the drivers side. I did 3M tape it to the side, but it fell off and is now sitting near the battery.

This is the kit I got. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDMPlusCanbus35W

There's nothing to it. One end of the ballast goes to the bulb, and the other connector goes to the OEM connector.

I am definitely going to do this. My truck was $47K (Canada) after tax and no HID's lol... I want to take the time and do a professional looking install.

I've probably ran 6 ddm kits. They are progressively getting better. I have nothing to say but good. I'd buy a kit today and not think twice. Install is plug and play. Currently I'm running one on my f350. 35w 6k.

For the guys running them. Is the can bus required on the new tacoma? I don't belive it is but can't find a simple yes or no

I have diode dynamic's parts at around half the cost.

Hylux 35w ballasts and CNLight ball style bulbs, 4300k. Using Diode Dynamics relay harness.

Just got the email that my DDM Canbus plus HID's shipped. Should have them within a couple days and will post pics for those interested. I went with DDM because I've ran them on my Supra and the quality was great. I went with the Canbus because it showed the 3rd gen as a verified no issue fit.

Canbus should not be necessary on these trucks from my understanding.
I got a normal opt-7 set up like this:
    http://www.opt-7.com/blitz-series-35w-Slim-hid-kit/
It works great and the visibility is much better than stock halogen. I paired it with some LED fog lights which are very close to a perfect match.

^ with no H11B option for the bulbs, are you not bothered by the shadow cast by the return wire?

Careful with some of the cheaper kits that use the factory wiring harness. There have been posts of blown fuses and even fried ECU's. I've used DDM in the past, but decided to go with Morimoto this time because it's a relay kit and saves your wiring (sounds like this trucks wiring is finicky). No issues so far, and no bouncing either.

Is the relay harness really necessary? I put cheap plug and play HID's in my 2010 Mercedes and they were completely fine. And the Mercedes cars are the worst! What would be a great plug n play option for HID's to get bright white lights... Nothing bothers me more than halogens...
