The trucks have been out and on the lots for awhile and the official Toyota web sight is just now, in the last day or so, showing this new years Tacoma.

Anyway used the build your Tacoma with the same options and features as my '08.

Base truck $1,485 more for the '09. Built with the same options $1,390 more for the '09. The price dropped for the Off Road package being $670 less on the '09.
That new subwoofer and stereo features raised the price $430.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i know the sport is less expensive this year b/c all 09's of prerunner/4x4 nature come w/ an auto LSD standard

Very similar numbers when I did the same thing. But, the dealership is eating the $1350 or so increase and honoring their original quote for the one I ordered. (I ordered as an '08, but they came back and said they couldn't order an '08 and it would be an '09 when it came in.) 2009 access cab v6, manual trans, 4x4 offroad package, extra mile "B", vehicle shield package, 6 disc changer.

You don't mine me asking but what kind of time frame did your dealer tell you when you can expect the truck to show up.

I was told it could be 2mo or it could be 6, it was just up to when they decided to build one like I want.
Ac, 4X4 or package, 6spd manual, Green, tow package, 6 disc changer.

I figure your Gulf States too. For what it's worth I ordered my '08 in Sept. 07 and didn't get the truck until Jan. 08.

Gulf States here too, and I was told from 1-3 months. I'm not overly concerned about how long it takes. (The longer it takes to arrive the more cash I have to add as a down payment.)

I drive over the road and don't generally put more than 50-100 miles per month on my current truck. Home once or twice a month with 50 miles round trip from the yard to the house. I did put 850 miles on my bike yesterday though. :) That was fun.

I went in to my Ottawa dealer in early April to buy a 2008 Access cab. After a week or so the dealer came back and told me he couldn't find an '08 but could order an '09 for me. I picked it up two weeks ago and nothing was mentioned about an increase in price. Needless to say, I snuck off the lot with a pretty big grin on my face. I got an '09 for an '08 price.:)

It's only a midsized because the Tundra and most of the others are huge!!

If that's sticker you ought to be no more than $28K by the time you sign.

6.25% on vehicles here but there's no state income tax either.
You get them down to 26K I'd take it. ;)

That's between you and a salesman. You really don't think NJ is the only place with corrupt officials do you? ;)

oh i'm sure they ripped u off in tx... but not as bad as in NJ

for example... 663 school district when there's only I think 300 towns...
so we have to pay 663 superintendants over $100k a yr when most of them dont have a schools to look after.. plus we have 3 tolls roads.. $8 bridges to go into NY.

    *sigh*

You'll be smiling a long time as they are nice trucks. Post some pictures when you can.
