Start a new job after New Year so I'm assuming I'll have to submit my days off early for approval. Never done the whole "Big Boy Job" thing before.

No one makes a 5.29 for our front diff. I don't think they would hold up if they did.

Does anyone know how many ring and pinions have been destroyed on a 2nd Gen v6 with any pinion size? That's not the typical thing that breaks in the drivetrain. The axles will always be the weak link unless you go chromoly and/or different spline but then you are changing the diff and possibly housing anyway. The 8.4 is marginally stronger then the 8 in the front. I would be more concerned with the front diff but once again, the axles are the weak link.

Now if you have a 4banger then I wouldn't much worry about it. #v6problems If only we were all that cool ....

 

I had to take a Lyft to the airport and I found out that they don't permit firearms of any kind (Uber is the same way).. now I'm having to borrow a shotgun. It's more annoying than anything. BUT It's funny how I just saw on the news that an Uber driver was concealed carrying and shot a criminal. He'll probably get sued by Uber even though it saved his life.

 

I don't know about getting sued by Uber, but you can bet he'll no longer be employed by them...

That's the same reason I don't like Pizza Hut, they'll fire a driver that uses a firearm to defend themselves.

 

I'd still rather be alive and without my pizza deliver job, than be able to list my occupation in my obituary.

 

No I turned that job down actually. It would have been a big financial burden to move to Evansville after putting a deposit down and first month of rent. There was no relocation funding available either. It all worked out and I'll be working in downtown Louisville now. I see a new daily driver in my future.

Apparently Serra does make one for the front diff. Look at the first pic. Last item under the ring & pinion is a 5.29
