Mine was between white and gray. GF said white reminds her of a work truck. Ordered gray and never looked back. Glad I didnt get white.

I knew I didn't want MGM because there are a couple 2nd gen MGMs in the parking lot, as well as a 2000s Tundra, and I like to be a unique snowflake. I had a black '99 F150 before this truck, and actually went to the dealer looking at a Barcelona Red taco, but it had a sunroof which is a no-go for tall people. The only other option in DCLBOR was BBP with black trim, and I was instantly in love.

It's interesting to me seeing how the different body colors and trim options go together. I think Quicksand, BBP, and White look better with the black trim, while BR, MGM, Black, and Inferno all look better with paint matched trim.

I wanted quicksand and white was my second choice. No quicksands were available in a 5 state area so I got the white so I wouldn't have to way 2 months for my truck. I get sad every time I see one in quicksand

Quicksand is a strange color to me, sometimes I look at it and think its kinda cool and other times it looks weird or off.

I picked MGM since my last 4 trucks were silver. Wanted black but I am anal with scratches, so I went MGM as a in between.

Should have stayed with silver, MGM shows as much as black.

I wash my truck weekly and use a spray gun to remove all then use a micro fiber with soap and go over the body, other towel for wheels and such. Wax about four times a year and clay twice a year.

    Silver, pick silver.

I thought it was kind of weird also. Then I saw pictures of it with a bunch of black shit on it.

Then I bought one and put a bunch of black shit on it.

According to "Santa", a black grill is on the way.

I don't mind how they look from the back with chrome.

OP said he wanted to be unique. Most of thread discussion varied opinions of Quicksand. I never said people loved the color, but it's hard to say no one talks about it ;)

Currently painting grill, not with plastic-dip. I'm painting it with a "ain't no going back" low gloss black. I did my sliders like that and they turned out nice. I'm leaving the hint of chrome in there to mesh with the chrome in my side mirrors, but less is more. I am trying to paint it in a way Toyota should have all along. I'll post a pic later when done, it's drying now.

I just washed mine. It looked clean before (but it was actually dirty)

Now it's just really really clean.

I do get a lot of people asking about the color or giving me a thumbs up on my truck.... I'm very happy with it and you don't see too many others on the road... at least not in my area. If the OP lives in the Southwest or the UAE it might be a different story.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
