We will be posting up pictures of the final product all powder coated and installed in about a week or so.

Here are some pics of the bumper finish welded and sanded before it went to powder coat yesterday. We are really liking how it turned out! Right now there is clear lexan Panels attached inside the bumper where the BSM sensor cutouts are. They will be painted black to match the powder coat during final install.

Any plans to reuse the OEM license plate lights in this bumper? Just realized there are no cutouts for those. Would also be great to have some optional bracket that would put the license plate into a vertical position. (Rear plates have to be vertical, oriented horizontally, and lit up w/ lights to be legal here.)

Will this have a spring-loaded hinge for mounting the license to, or will you have to get out tools to hook up a trailer?

We will be sending a sticky back LED strip light that sticks to the bottom of the tailgate which will be used as the license plate light. We do not have an option for mounting the plate 100% vertical. That may be something we need to come up with if we have quite a few people that need it.
The bumper in the pics is on a local customer's truck. He will be testing out everything to make sure the BSM system all works properly.

Yes we are excited to see it as well!

No tools needed. The license plate will be mounted on hinges at the top so you can flip it up when you want to use a receiver. Otherwise gravity keeps the plate sitting in the normal position.

Will this still carry over the full 6400 lb tow rating I currently have?

The bumper has not been officially rated and we do not have a way to do that, but the bumper is designed with 1/4" plate all boxed in from the frame mounting points to the hitch. There "Shouldn't" be any issues towing the same amount of weight, but like I stated, it has not been officially tested.

I'm glad someone is working on this. I don't so much care about the blind spot mirror thing as I do the cross traffic alert. That's saved me a couple times when my bed is loaded with gear and a tent.

Although I seemed to survive before this tech...

There was a another thread on this. If I recall C4 has it fully in production with acessories. I plan to order one with Jerry can and tire carrier swing outs. Fully loaded it comes to about $1800

Final product can be purchased on our website here: http://www.c4fabrication.com/produc...erland-series-rear-bumper-system-bsm-support/
We do not have any pictures of one fully loaded with swing arm yet, but we just shipped one out yesterday. Hopefully the customer will install it quickly and send us some pics.

Thanks, so far i think we are the only company offering a plate bumper that retains function of the BSM system. We have gotten alot of interest in this product since it was released.

That is correct. We will be posting up some pics of one fully loaded soon.

Thank you for your reply. One more question regarding the reverse camera relocation option. Is that a necessity if you'd like to retain that feature for your truck i thought it was in the tailgate. That being said what is the advantage to relocating it to the bumper?
    Cheers

It's only needed if you opt for the swing-away tyre carrier. If you don't at that point the only thing the screen will show is the sidewall of your spare.

That is partially correct. You can actually leave the camera in the stock location even with the swing arm in place, but only if you do NOT get the fold down camp table. The camp table is what blocks the camera and creates the need for the relocation kit. If you do not get the fold down camp table, then the camera will see through the swing arm, but a partial area in the corner of the camera will be blocked by the spare tire like you were saying.

    Only the best.
I relize this is an extremely old thread but was wondering if there were any pics of the stock camera view with the swing out tire and jerry cans in place?
