A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping

Kind of stupid! Those wheels will stand out unless it's on a Pro. Plus why is it outside anyway lol

I'll take that truck for $2000 off. I'll get my own rims and tires.

I was curious about this because that weirdo in the review sounded so certain about his information about Toyota making as many as people will buy. I had read the Toyota FAQ as well, but I thought that might be outdated like their info about PRO color choices. So I emailed toyota asking if they could clarify and got this non answer answer. I realize now that I should never have expected any real answer, but it was worth a try.

Thank you for taking time to contact Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. and we appreciate your expressed interest in the 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro!

We apologize, while we are the manufacturer of the vehicle, we have no projected number of vehicle that will be produced. Production depends on demand and dealers Toyota dealers work with our regional offices to determine what vehicle, transmission, color and option combinations they feel will sell best in their geographical market, and request vehicle allocations accordingly.

The best option would be to inquire with your local Toyota dealer for availability of the Tacoma in your area.

Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters and if we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us .

    Sincerely,

    Daniell T.

Your right!!! That just sounds like Tacoma production in general....not "Pro" specific. You have to go with what they have done in the past with the Baja's and gen 2 Pro. I saw in a article interviewing the VP or President after the launch of the 17 Pro and he said that they where planning on producing twice the amount of 15 Pro's which numbered 1200.

I think I saw the same the same article, which is the info I was operating off of until I saw that video review. That guy did a good job of making me believe he knew what he was talking about, but I should have known better. It was just weird the way he added that to the end of the review like he had some inside info or something. Oh well. Hopefully there are enough left when I buy in the spring!

So I had a dealer offer me invoice price (no BS fees or add ons) on a PRO today. I'm thinking about taking the offer, but I don't want to jump on it too soon. Has anyone been able to do better than invoice on these trucks?

I have never seen invoice for a Pro. At all.

No joke. Quoted in writing 39,200 plus TTL. Judging by the response guessing I should take this! I already had a deal lined up on an OR but this just came up and seemed like a good deal. Seems like I am in the opposite position of most people...been waiting for weeks to get an OR...

    Lol.
Okay that's pretty funny. But sucks big time at the same time.
They even left it in blocks like they do in the movies?

Any discount on the pro without any rims & tires though?

Well from my research invoice for a 6sp man no extras is $39,524.....So if that $39,200 is correct without any additional fees other then the std reasonable doc fees, etc, then they are most likely selling it below invoice. Seems highly unlikely...But if it's true then it's prob the deal of the yr on a Pro.

They are much better than the stock OR or Sport wheels.
