What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Aftermarket KnR CAI delete mod... Complete!

Took off the CAI that was on the truck when I bought it. It always rattled/vibrated like crazy at low RPMs which drove me nuts.

My mechanic buddy made short work of it while on my lunch break and I used the OE airbox that WOODEX M.E. hooked me up with.

Everything went back together nicely and now I'm back on stock air, which is sooooooo much quieter.

 

@la0d0g is correct, its the molding. I had a severe case of this especially at 70 mph or severe winds. There have been threads on this and this is their fix.... and it works! Wedge a piece of weatherstripping from home depot in there and it will eliminate it 100% Havent had an issue in 6 months. It was a life saver for me as my whistle was so loud it was louder than the radio turned all the way up..

I went with 265/70/17's. I really wasn't sure about going with 285's but now knowing the overall size and tread difference from the 255/75/17 Trail Grappler that I was running, I'll probably go up in size next go round. But as far as the ride, they are great and a little better then the Trail Grappler.

 

Since I ain't got no answers in the Wheels and tire section and I am ready to clic the "Buy it now" button, I'll ask here

I used my sick time buyback to fund a LED Daytime Running Light kit order today.

 

Naaaa 45 minutes to clay 45 minutes to wax. 2 hours with beer and beef jerky breaks
