Just curious what kind of time frame did you guys had that went in and placed an actual order, not a Dealer Trade? I was in talking to the Dealer tonight and they said not to be surprised if it takes 3 to 5 Months to get the Truck from the day of order, that seems a bit long.

It took about 10 days for mine. But they said if they couldn't get this particular truck allotted to them as it was being built, it could take as long as 6 months to get it. I smiled and said ok, I'm willing to wait to get what I want. They were trying to get me to buy the one on the lot with extra crap I refused to pay for. So, 10 days later I got what I ordered.

I waited about 4 months. I ordered a TRD Offroad in Quicksand, double cab longbed with premium and tech and JBL with a few port installed options.

Ordered in late July/early August, built 15 November and received in early December. About 4-5 months. This was for a #7545 with the 6MT. If you want a 6MT be prepared to wait; I think there is credence to the rumors around here that they only build them about once a quarter (4x per year, for a couple weeks each session). So if your build allocation misses the next MT build group, it'll be a bit. You can get lucky, but this 4x a year thing could be the kicker.

Ordered mine two weeks ago. Dealer said the factory is in a build cycle so it should be here in 6 weeks or less. Sounds a bit unrealistic based on what everyone else has experienced. My current lease isn't up 'till April so I'm ready for a more realistic wait.

I ordered my MT in early October and my build date was 11/22, so this seems plausible.

That is exactly what I am wanting 7545 with P&T Package, on the plus side they said the offer for my trade in will not change if I go ahead and order no matter how long it takes provided it does not get damaged in any way.

I have been on the fence about buying, all of my Tacoma's have been rock solid reliable, reading a bit here has me a little nervous about a 3rd Gen but the Dealer offered to order what I want at Invoice price plus they offered me max trade in value on my 15 on KBB on Trade no matter the length of time for the truck to come in.

Other than the howl in the original rear differential mine has been rock solid (fixed with new rear diff). Don't hesitate they are great trucks if you get the manual transmission. The auto transmission trucks seam to be having most of the issues.

Sounds pretty good....make sure to test drive it before you sign if you decide to do it. I really like mine, despite the issues I've had.

I did do an extended test drive and they let me hang onto it for a few days, I liked it a lot except it was an automatic that was constantly shifting up and down but if I buy it will be a stick.

Awesome that they let you keep it a couple of days! Definitely get the stick, you'll have to wait but it would be worth it. I wish I could get a Canadian model of my truck, as the AC is a must have for me. If they ever bring the option here, I will probably trade mine in.

All 3 of my Tacoma's have been Access Cab OR Manuals, I hate that I am going to have to go with a Double Cab as I would rather have the bed space.

I guess it depends where it's coming from. From the Factory could be a while, but from another dealership would be a lot faster. Took about 2 weeks for them to find me the configuration I wanted and get it to the dealership.

My dealer stated my truck went on the line today and I should have it by the end of January. Seems to good to be true
