It's like the complete opposite in Boston. I have three TW guys with icon's... A bunch with bilsteins and leaf packs and a few other strut upgrades. I'll be going with icons with ext resi's in the spring since my suspension is beyond old....

I've mostly seen guys going icons or OME

I find the opposite to be true. I agree with @Twinkie0311, mostly OME or Icon. Haven't seen anyone with spacer lifts. I'm running icons with total chaos LCAs myself. Half wishing I went long travel :)IMG_3349.jpg

yeah at the mod day at gearhead that one day all there was were icons or OME lifts going on. I think the only one I physically know of running bilsteins is @Alex352, but I'm not sure if he's also running ome coils with that. Still not a bad set up IMO. The only time I've seen spacers really are just from the dealers.

I had spacers on The Bat. and it rode real rough. Hated them. Wont do that on the next build at all!

Rob if you are still contemplating a 4runner i have both. Mainly i kept the 4 runner stock (minus lift and 285s) because its something that I see myself traveling less with into the backcountry. With the truck I can throw what ever stuff is needed into the cap and just go. The runner is a bit shorter in the wheelbase and cant pack the gear i would want inside without folding the seats. Additionally at the time when I got the runner, parts for the 5th gen runner was not so plentiful armor wise or cheaper in price compared to the tacoma - probably has changed now, I have not been keeping up to date.

if you are just looking for a comfortable cruiser, the runner is the better option with japanese build quality and better creature comforts. If you are looking for a hauler than you know taco is a better fit.

Recover well man and keep us posted on your car decision.

I might be interested in the seats but would only need the fronts. Possibly also rack system for my runner.

When I get my shop (personal, not professional) up and running, I may be able to host some mod days. Thinking about getting a lift installed... I may take donations... ;)

I'm saving for a house myself... about 1/4 of the way to a down payment if I want to buy up here, 1/2 of the way if I'm able to buy anywhere else and work from home

Has anyone heard anything about the camburg kinetic series billet uca's? They look pretty sturdy but they are quite a bit of $$$.

@Captain Taco just seeing how your feeling?
I was following one of the trail rides you guys did, then saw the news. We had a massive ice storm that day out here in Va. Shut down I-95 near Baltimore.

    Hope your doing better!

And mentally it's tough to go through all that, I've been on the responding side and it's tough to roll up on any accident.
