Can't believe airbags did not deploy either. Looks like severe damage not to have airbags deploy.

The damage looks kinda high up, maybe that is why it did not trigger the airbags.

Check your cab to bed gaps on both sides. Also check your bed to rear bumper gaps on both sides. If they're not identical (and they were previously) you're likely totaled.

FWIW, I was hit head on (offset) with my ARB at about 25 MPH and my bags didn't go. It did destroy my front suspension, bent my frame and totaled my truck.

Glad you weren't hurt...You'd be surprised how quickly stuff adds up, in an accident. My guess is it's gone.

    Glad you are OK.

To those wondering about the airbag not deploying...

...if the airbag didn't deploy and he is OK then the airbag sensor did exactly what it was suppose to do.

Agreed. No point having the worst pillow fight whacking to the face you've ever had if you don't need it.

Agree with everything you said but the big thing police will cite you for these days is texting/driving and that's why I asked out of curiosity. Insurance companies love to drop policy holders or raise rates for those infractions.

It's highly unlikely to get cited for eating etc...but I agree it's still considered distracted driving.

I have to disagree that texting is the same as any other kind of distraction, and AMAZED that you can justify it, and the same goes with those who liked your comment. I'm sure your statement might've given a fuzzy warm feeling to those of you who do this, but texting, before everything else you lump in with it, takes your eyes away from the road for an extended period of time. If you're looking in your side mirror, you're performing an action related to driving; disciplining your kids if they're misbehaving in the seat behind you can be remedied by pulling your damn vehicle off the road and taking care of the problem. The same with putting on your seatbelt, eating or pushing a button on your radio; many of these can be performed while still with an eye to the road.

The point I'm making is that if the OP or anyone else VOLUNTARILY decides to play with their phone instead of driving their vehicle is a danger to me and my loved ones, and I have absolutely no sympathy for whatever happens to their vehicle. It's no different in my mind to those that decide to drink and drive.

Get off your soapbox . We dont need another preacher on here. We get it, texting is bad, but you have clowns on here coming in asking why he was looking down just itching to jump down the guys throat. The poor guy totals his car and you give an ethics lesson on texting. Cool story bro.

Typically, depending on the state they stop at about 70-80% of the value of the truck. Based on previous experience it is probably going be based on suspension damage and frame. It does add up quick. I was rear-ended a month ago and all I have visible damage is the bumper, tailgate repaint and right bed side repaint and we are almost to 3K. So I hate to say it, it does not look good. :(

Side note- Glad you are ok... Trucks can be fixed or replaced.

It's meaningless what anyone here says. All that matters is what your adjuster says.

And anyone trying to guess off that one photo is, well, just guessing.

Good luck. Hopefully the other parties and you were not injured.

I rear-ended some lady (car accident) in a suby with a scion when I looked down to answer a call and I told the cop this, thank God she didn't cite me. She was really cool tho and I think she appreciated the honesty.. it also helped that the lady I hit was a bitch, I hit her doing a max of 15 mph on the rear bumper offset passenger-side, and she said I damaged her driver side front fender hahaha. I'll never forget the looks me and the cop exchanged after she pointed to it.

I hope your phone survived, that way you can F up your next ride also.
I love the guy who thinks it's no different then any other distraction, he must be a cell phone dealer.
Sad how stupid some people truly are.
