Don't worry about it. It's actually very flattering how the haters have to come into a thread specifically about the Pro just to bash it. No constructive input but just to throw their .5 cents worth of nothing. Tells me they regret they got whatever they got and have to bash the Pro to make themselves feel better. Is it bad that makes me smile more : )

The hate and bickering in these TRD Pro threads amazes me. And for this to turn political?... wow. We all know who the douchebags are now so thank you. Anyways, here's my deal...

I had a 2000 Tacoma SR5 that I built up over the years (my first vehicle ever was a 1980 Toyota 20R pickup). It was only an extended cab and once the family started to grow, it was time (a VERY hard time) to let my old truck go. I tend to keep my vehicles around long term. Since this is my first time being able to afford a higher priced vehicle and being a Toyota loyalist, I wanted something unique. So, I opted to hold out for the 2017 TRD pro M/T. Dealer experience? Here in Colorado with Mountain States it was a combination of getting lucky and getting the right online sales guy on the phone. I was next in line when the Super White TRD Pro M/T showed up. Without hesitation I told them I wanted it. I knew the Pro was going to come out at some point back in 2016 when the 3rd gen was released. So, I waited for this thing for 1.5 years. All I can say is that I love this truck and the manual is just so damn fun to drive. I'm completely content with spending the extra money to basically have something more unique from the factory than another run-of-the mill Taco. Even though most everything on the Pro's can be done after the fact, that's not the point (for me at least). It's buying a special edition Tacoma that makes my grin extend that much more because it makes me happy and I know it's a rare bird. So far, no issues (haven't really looked too carefully at the headlights but I can't see any condensation). I intend to add a few decals to black out the Tacoma lettering in the tailgate and add some black lettering to the skid plate "TRD". Other than those additions, I'm planning on installing a TRD intake and getting rock rails once the Spring starts knocking. All I can really say is that even though I paid MSRP (no additional dealer fees... thanks Mountain States!), I'm so incredibly giddy and happy to be a PROUD owner of this Storm Trooper TRD Pro. Honestly, anyone else's opinion other than the opinion of my wife and son (yes, he's only 3) can really just go down the toilet with the rest of the poop I've read in some of these posts. However, my circle of friends and family all share my opinion that this is one BA truck!

    Seacrest out.

The Raptor is a much different animal. It truely is an upgraded truck. I havent read much on the new one, but I know on the old one it had a beefer frame, longer/better uca, parts didnt just tranfer over to the f-150. They made it just different enough to warrent the cost.

I say that to say this.... I would buy a pro (or a raptor) in a heartbeat. Lol

Just dont want to afford it. Sweet trucks though! People forget to factor in time. Off- Road+Labor+parts = pro. Yes most of us can do our work, but my time is valuable.

Good luck to all the pro owners, I am a fan of the cement myself!

Now I understand why some folks have asked to ban you. Stop making sense, I have come to learn this is TW and reality doesn't work here.

I would put this question elsewhere, but since it is specific to a set of wheels on the Pro ... :middlefinger:

The local Discount Tire doesn't have 2017 Tacoma in their TPMS profiles. I had heard that the 2015 or 2016 Camry would work, but no luck on those. 2016 Tacoma obviously didn't work either. Does anyone know what other profiles may work for these sensors? The dealership wants to charge me $80 even though I've spend over $100k with them this year. Thanks bastards.

The Pro IS a great truck, yeah, I'd buy one.
But if people think the Pro is on the same level as the Raptor, sorry to burst you're bubble, but the Raptor is almost a desert racing truck right off the floor, the Pro is just bolt ons and paint, no real suspension mods, just different shocks and springs. The Raptor is completely different than a regular F-150, more travel, wider track to accommodate longer travel suspension, frame upgrades specific to the Raptor... it's a long list of upgrades.
Pro is nice, but no way will is compete with a new Raptor.

Lol. Yeah its tough at times to weed through the BS that most people post on here. Some people think its just trolling. I honestly believe its just lame. They have nothing else better to do than post every 20 mins about why they think they drive a lemon? I've got work to do, parts to put on, christmas lights to put up, presents to wrap, and clans to clash!!!

Would be good to have a dedicated yooyoo mama thread for inmates that can blow off steam in one place instead of shitting in every thread.

Have you done any mods on your sport? If so, did you magically think of them yourself? Yes, maybe a few simple ones that you have done on past trucks like a lift, wheels, tires, and so on. However I am sure you grabbed a few mod ideas from this forum, if so, then what I originally stated is true. We all like what others have, so we mod or change things in our lives to mimic what others have. Hence this is in our DNA for us to want to have/be something better than what others have. I guarantee that the first time you went on a date with your lady, you sure the hell didn't pick her up with a old ripped up tee shirt on, you probably had a night clean tee or even a button down on right. You wanted for your appearance to appeal to her more than the other guy standing in the room. It's our DNA. Same as picking a Tacoma over a Prius was decided in your head.

But what if I got a prius and a tacoma?

Then my friend you made the wrong decision if you're on this forum. Hell, my gal has a Jeep Renegade and I'm thinking of trading her. The mods on those things can be just as much as ours.

I need a truck for a truck. Have rental property. Honestly main reason I went back to a Tacoma is resale value. I do like the looks. But not really an off road guy. Although I do go from time to time.

I am wating for the 1st truck to get 40 mpg. Its a race between ford and toyota. I think they are getting close. I will trade mine in when that day comes.

What are you Freud? My tee shirt wasn't ripped, but it wasn't a nice new one either. You have no clue about me at all. Don't even try to tell me you know any thing about me. I don't keep up with the jones. And I bought my truck cause I want a truck, and I want to have fun driving it. So take you materialistic comments about me and move to fuck along now. Talks to me when you grow up and realize we don't need to compare our selfs to others to be happy.

People like me for being me, if not fuckem, cause I don't need em

    PEACe out.

To all the Pro owners, quick question. Do you notice any plasticky thick film on your front bumpers and side view mirrors? I thought it might be that dealer added paint protection but supposedly mine didn't have it added and I don't have the film on the hood. It's on the rear fenders as well. Just curious.

Yep, I have that paint protection and listed as part of the 3M Protection Package $99.99. I couldn't get out of it. Looks like you got it for free.
