Ohhh man, this is getting good! College coaches frown pretty seriously upon social shenanigans (especially those that are considered 'criminal activity').

I can't believe that no body has called him... Someone out there has his mothers number, and I've provided you all with his coaches number.
Don't wait for me to call, I don't have a stake in it any more

Daniel Germroth is the name. I haven't had much time lately, but I've been meaning to get some contact information on him. I'll work on it tonight. If anyone that is involved in this situation would like to contact him and needs some information shoot me a pm and I might be able to help you there.

I sent him several messages via email and his Facebook account. No replies from either. He's still active on Facebook. If anyone his phone number, I can try to call him. Just PM me.

I recommend calling Virginia Tech which where his emai laccount is from and see if they can get a hold of him.

What I would suggest is calling the coach of his rugby team. Coaches don't really like when their players are involved with illegal activity.

Wow, this thread will be one year old in 19 days and it is still going. I got burned out early and got my money back less paypal fees so I really don't have a dog in this fight but I hate to see people get ripped off and it is bad for the forum.

If I was one of those left in limbo I would use the email address of the rugby coach and send a very polite email basically saying that we know this is not something the coach wants to get involved in but if he can in some way open a communication channel with Dan trying to resolve this before legal or criminal actions are pursued this would be appreciated. Also link this forum to the email.

Next ideas would be to contact the Blacksburg, VA police which he shows as his hometown in his avatar or contact the local police where VA Tech is located. For those who mailed him checks maybe check with the Post Office to see if there might be possible mail fraud involved. Or maybe there is a VT office for student affairs that might want to keep one of their students out of jail.

Youse guys out the money who don't want to pursue it that is your choice. But at this point I don't think Dan is coming back.

I am sure the forum admin has a privacy policy and don't want to get involved in private deals, but has anyone contacted them to see if they might have any suggestions?

Wow I received my lock months ago. Unfortunate how this is turning out. I think "DGerm" meant well and did good at first, then was overwhelmed, and now has lost interest in this group buy. When I was younger I made some mistakes and didn't follow through on my commitments all the time. I never kept others money though, and Daniel needs to pay up. Hopefully someone can get ahold of him or his family so no legal action needs to be taken. People need their money though especially in this economy so action must be taken. I feel bad for those out their money and lock and hope they get something back soon.

I believe the address mentioned earlier is a dormitory on the campus of Virginia Tech. That won't help you much because he is likely in an off campus location now.

Either no one has done anything or they are just not posting their efforts. I got my lock but am sticking around to see how this pans out. I'll help where I can because it sucks to get scammed.

He hasn't been on this website or his fuelly.com page in months. I'd say he's gone...
