Post up any tips and tricks on the install - it's a tight fit getting the hose in there. I found my PCV hose had come loose from the engine during the install and it was not fun getting it back on with the SC already bolted up.

The bottom section has an integrated hex nut to assist in removal and installation of the bottom half.

Oh! Wanted to mention, customer service from magnuson is awesome! A guy who works there gave me his cell phone and has been answering my question via text or call, at anytime. Truely appreciate it.

Anyways, I was confused on the instructions for the BD tune. As it mentions to select the 'SC' option, and yet there is no 'SC' option. In fact the instructions call for a few items that didn't come up on the tuner. I asked Magnuson about this, and was told by them that the instruction were drawn up for a Tundra. And they just recently rewrote the instructions for Tacomas specifically. And hopefully theylll be shipping with new orders soon.

This helps ease my anxiety. I'm very worried when I get down with the install, and I go to turn the key to test to see if all is well, that it won't be. I have been VERY diligent with every step. Double check, triple checking. Hopefully when all is said and done, it's a success.

I hate that you're having the problem with the URD TCAI, but that intake will work itself out and relearn the knew readings with the engine in time. I got that P0101 code for nearly a month when I first installed (even had it randomly recurring for up to a year, but only once every 2,3,4 months or so. now i dont get it at all, after 3 years).

not saying something isnt wrong with the system since i've never seen it, but the URD TCAI runs with a supercharger and poses "no issues" directly. Def do what you think is best for your truck though!

I just kept cleaning the MAF and letting it air dry, NEVER touching the glass ball sensor with ANYTHING and letting it completely air dry before reinstalling it. I still love my TCAI.

Good luck man (and toyota tried blaiming EVERYTHING on my intake if I had issues...I hate the dealership with a passion)

Would love to see where you have it mounted.. I just ordered one-not the one you have, as it is unavailable...SC install scheduled for JAN 7!

It's all about the VSC. If you have VSC, you have the hydraulic booster.

oh shit, here we go again

edit: just caught up on the thread. fuckin' intake!

i finally got enough open space on a Bay Area freeway to open it up a few times. i am in agreement with folks who mention adding forced induction is like getting to know a new truck. driving halfway across the country after Christmas so much bonding in store.

I had the factory intake on there at first. Not the intake in my case.

Highway driving is where the SC really shines. Soooo much more responsive. @lawless I'm sure you'll appreciate it on your trip!
