Whats the ideal aiming point for the light? I have mine pointed a little toward the ground. Should I raise it up some?

Probably the best way to adjust it would be with your truck on level ground at night, say like on a back road etc that way you can adjust it to your liking

Wish I would have seen this a few days ago. Already got the Mictuning switch. Oh well, now just have to figure out the wiring. I hate electrical stuff... Maybe I can get a buddy to help out. Light bar doesn't work to well without wiring it up.

Just curious does any have a lost of parts I would need for wiring in the new switch? I was going to try and collect everything from work tomorrow

Just wire it in place of the one that came with the wiring kit. Check out video I quoted from @TexasGunGuy88's post a few pages ago.

I've watched it a couple of times but I guess my next question would be the switch light itself, will it be on all the time like the generic one? I would like to wire it in so it illuminates when the rest of the dash lights are on

I am not really sure but from my little understanding it will not light up unless you turn on the light bar. There is probably a way to make it work with your dash lights but I am not knowledgeable to know if its true or how to do so.

I plan on trying to aim mine sorta "between" high and low beams.

I believe that on the CH4X4 there are 2 lights. One than you can wire in with the dash lights, and one that will come on when the button is on.

If you follow the video and tap into the accessory power the light should only be on with your accessory lights. FYI I am not a wire pro haha

Nice diagram, thanks @Truggin. Looks like it works the same with the mictuning switch I bought also.

@tsub345 Check out the diagram Truggin posted it may help you!

I stopped installing my light bar on sat because the temp dropped 20-30 degrees over 2 hrs as I was doing it. I was able to mount the light bar but wiring isn't done yet. Today would have been good but I picked my sliders up last night and had to start painting them while it was warm today. That also didn't get completed due to wind so I am just hoping I have some nice days when I'm off so I can finish both projects. Hopefully get a buddy to help with wiring it up. I'll tear apart an engine but when it comes to wiring I get a little intimidated. I was also waiting on a new switch and now a relay mount that i never thought of buying. Both projects will hopefully get finished this weekend depending on free time with X-mas or next week! I wish it was summer, everything would be so much easier.

I cant wait that long. Planning on meeting up with some TW members at an OR Park a few hours away from me around Jan 14. I want both on and working by then just in case I need them. I fully expect to need the sliders. I should be ok if I don't get the light done but its already on the truck, it needs to work!

Just swapped out the Caliraised switch with a CH4X4 switch. Much better and looks OEM. Got the idea from maxtherat. I followed the same wiring setup that TexasGunGuy88 did but I didnt tap into the fuse panel for the switch backlight. For my 2010, I tapped into the AC Heater lighting circuit. If you have a 05-15 you can search for rcbs204 thread (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rcbs204-4x4-illuminated-switch.68173/) on his illuminated 4X4 switch. If you read his install instructions he taps his illuminated switch wiring into the AC Heater control panel backlight wiring. I did find out the difference between the two lighting wires that you can tap into. If you tap into the solid green wire your led bar switch will NOT dim when you adjust the dimmer for the rest of your instrument backlighting. But if you tap into the green/white wire, the switch will dim with the rest of you instrument backlighting when you adjust the dimmer. What I did notice if you turn the brightness all the way up the switch backlight will go off. Im not sure why it does this. It might only do this on my truck because I have already tapped into the AC Heater panel for my lighted 4X4 switch panel. Have any questions about this, PM me.

This is a picture from rcbs204 thread on his 4X4 lighted switch install. You can see the solid green or green/white wire that you can tap the LED Bar switch into so that it will light up with the rest of the instrument lights.
