Awesome! Thanks! I bought a '81 CB750 that I took completely down to the frame. The plan is to restore and sell and i can't decide how unqualified I am to prep and paint the frame myself[/QUOTE]

Fantastic. Darts crossed my mind but I don't believe they'd penetrate enough for proper evisceration

There is a place in Brandon, VT called Vermont Protective Coatings, they do really good sandblasting and painting, but may be a little far for you.

What if I just says Jason, the annoying Asian girl from Kaizen sent me? Covers both bases. Any idea of the price range off hand?

Will they mediablast and spray wheel faces? I'm going to have my LM's refinished back to silver and don't want to go to the PC route since they're forged. RimPro wants almost $300 a wheel for 2-piece refinishing, but I was thinking of breaking them down myself and just having the faces done and I could clean up the barrels myself. I was going to check locally but I know their rep is pretty decent. I just don't think I'd be pleased with a DIY spray and if I'm going through the trouble of breaking them down, I'd rather have them redone.

I know he has painted rims before because he did my buddies s2k wheels and they came out mint. Phil specializes in custom work so it can't hurt to inquire. I'm not too familiar with his prep work when it comes to wheels.

Did this today.. Had to use a lift to lower the battery in because I physically lift it any higher than my waist...

And yes my engine bay is filthy.. I'm waiting for a warmer day to clean it.

Fuse panel goes in this weekend.

I'll have to check them out in the spring when I start looking into it seriously. For now, I just need to pay myself back for them. No one wants my 2016 grille! I am second guessing selling my IPF lights and am starting to get the itch to get a N-Fab bar for the front of my truck and just wiring 'em up.

I miss my first gen in general, that thing was awesome.

The FJ is like having an easy button. Just hit atrac/locker, point and go. Was pretty fun at the fall crawl keeping up with all the Jeep's on 35s"+ on my 32s" and IFS

i'll be honest, i've been driving manuals for so long i'm just better with them than an auto. i always forget to put the stupid things in park and then wonder why i can't get the key out. or i'll slam on the brakes. i'm used to traffic in a manual just because i do so little driving in an auto

Agreed, FJ is my first auto. I never had an issue with a manual in traffic. Just leave it in first and creep along.

My guy may be a little far for you as he is in New Bedford MA but he does awesome work. From as mild to as wild as you want to go. Frames even for a car are no problem for them. Blasting and everything is done in house. They just did my BIL's Raptor wheels

    My FJ cruiser wheels

Cupcake was like that when she was forced to drive my Oldsmobile for a week or so, kept stomping around looking for the clutch and would forget to put it in Park

I'll show you an easy button at takeover. Ask Rob about my alternate route last year. Pretty sure all the shiny trucks I was rolling with were pissed off when I took it.
