Yup, those are the correct tires. 265/65 17 on stock suspension.

It's a bit early to tell with the tires(maybe 300 miles on them), but they are very quiet relative to what I was expecting.

I've been out in snowy conditions all day, and haven't needed 4x4 at all. So far, no complaints.

Nothing special with the interior, just a stock truck in there. This taken just moments after a windshield replacement.

Can someone post a video of just daily driving in one of the sr manuals? Stop and go or outside the vehicle from a stop can't seem to find a video on the four cylinder manual but tons of v6 manuals on YouTube

I hope u guys wont have to go through this BS but my SR is getting a new engine. :( All the crankshaft journal bearings wore out prematurely. Hopefully the 2nd engine is the charm.

Probably from not letting it warm up on cold days then driving it 5 to 7 miles down the highway easy before you mash the gas pedal and run the guts out of it.

Think back in the day, old Chevy pickup for arguments sake. Who actually let them warm up? Who drove them easy all day every day? While I agree with warming up any vehicle, it should be able to handle being driven hard on a regular basis. With that said, I wouldn't expect 300k miles out of an engine driven hard daily however I would expect a whole lot more than engine failure while it's still brand new. I've had next to no issues at all with my Tacoma. I babied it for the first 2000 miles, engine oil change after the first 1000 miles, I don't beat on it every time I drive it or anything liked at. The problems I see posted on a regular basis here though do scare me. I bought it because I love it and it's a Toyota, I should be able to drain the oil, piss in the engine, and drive it 300k miles problem free (not literally but you know what I mean) I feel like Toyota may have dropped the ball here and released an inferior product, I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks. Your truck looks pretty sharp too. Love the wheels.
Yeah these tires do chuck the rocks. I live 1.5 miles down a county road which is AR flint rock. Usually they calm down after a couple thousand miles after the rocks round the edges of the tread blocks. Hoping these follow suit cuz I cringe hearing them hit the body--even past the flaps.

Can't say that I have a good camera for it, but I'm curious what you're hoping to see.

When i was researching my truck too before i bought it, I think i watched every 16 tacoma video Utube had to offer. I also wanted to see some type of driving video for a 2.7, cant recall if i ever found one, maybe i did? Unfortunately I dont have a good way of recording a driving video either, sorry

He asked for a 2.7 manual.

I used 4th a lot for backroads with 40 mph speed limits. If it's 50+ I'll usually cruise in 5th gear.

Where I am there aren't many hills that warrant a downshift unless I'm following an unusually slow driver or towing.

My truck likes to tow my 3000 lb boat in 4th gear on the highway. 5th really isn't usable. 4th gear at 65 mph is somewhere around 2750 rpms IIRC.

    Hope this info helps him!

Sorry, my bad. If my knees were not bad I would still be driving a manual. Pain started getting the best of me back in 2007. I don't like taking pain pills so I just sold the manual and bought a automatic.

That is terribly unfortunate. So sorry about your knees, but staying away from pain pills and driving an automatic is probably the safer option. Pain pills are no bueno.
