Just because you agree with them doesn't mean they'll put you in their will.

So question for all here, should you set the parking brake in this situation?

It would have to be more then just holding. Think "if I don't mash the fuck out of these I'm going to slide down that cliff". Braking with enough force to lift your ass off of the seat?

It still could be normal due to your recent drive change, just spitballin ideas. Was thinking you might have possibly changed your pushrod adjustment, not likely though.

I have no kids. Who wants to take care of me when I am old? I will add them to my will. :)

First recovery, yes... was drug 5 feet, second recovery, drug a foot or two. (old ass f250 wedged on a stump, and then a 100series).

    Havent changed anything mechanical yet.

edit: and parking brake is also set when winching.

Every time, winching should be parking brake and service brake. While Toyota has a very robust parking pawl, you might even keep the transmission in neutral.

    :pray:I can hope.

But in all actuality that's what we told people when they got pads from the parts store. ~60k for factory equivalent. ~40k for the cheep stuff but it all depends on how ya drive and when traffic your in. Here it's like you said your mouton is tall with lots of curves

I drove in LA for years and pads don't last long with the stop and go. It's going to be different for everyone. They must be doing the coasting to a stop method. :notsure:

I wasn't say you changed the pushrod mechanically, more, excessive braking for caused some metal changes that would mimic a pushrod change. It might be worth checking out if the brake wear started after the heavy winching and brake application. Notice any recent fuel mileage drop, though I guess you would by default because of the residence change, shit.

It's tall enough to coast all the way down with no working transmission!

It was actually about the same... I added the fairing when up here and gained 1mpg. But this last tank was HORRIBLE (255miles). I'm guessing its the extreme cold because nothing else changed. Unless I forgot to reset it when I got gas.

I would get 280'ish per tank before and after moving up here. Adding the fairing got me just over 300, and its been just under 300 lately since it was cold.
