A Pillar Gauge pods???

Looks a lot like mine. I have air pressure (tank for my air horns), and trans temp (still needs to be hooked up).

 

The Cravenspeed model? I didn't know that it handed steering wheel tilt.

 

you can purchase it on Amazon. and in a review it said"goodbye tilt" and afterwatching install videos it appears there is no clearance for tilt once installed

There is no 3rd option on the lotek

 

I'm pretty sure the only A-pillar option for 2nd Gens is Lotek's 2-gauge pod. According to a couple of posts/pics, it fits, but does not provide a good color match.

Perrin make a gauge pod. The mounting is not as simple as the cravenspeed but it's cheaper and is working great for me. The pictures make it seem like they cover up the cluster but it's just the angle they were taken at. You still have full visibility

can u tilt the steering wheel?

 

The gauge wires are run on top of the steering column cover, so there is to much room for adjustment. I probably could have pushed the gauges forward a little more to avoid them rubbing the cluster but didn't want to drill more holes in the column cover. I believe with the cravenspeed it may be about the same adjustment wise. Very minimal.

 

Here are more pictures of the mock up. I really digged the cravenpspeed mounting and how simple the install was but unfortunately had to return it because my gauges wouldn't fit right. The next best/likable thing was the Perrin. The install is a little more tedious and time consuming. It's a tighter fit trying to squeeze the pods and column cover with gauges back on. Just be patient. Scratched my cluster rings twice. But overall pleased with the way it turned out.

I prefer an A-pillar mount, but don't want the color variance. May just end up without gauges...

When im driving i never notice this color match issue, and absolutely zero persons have said anything about this color match issue in 3 yrs.

 

Good to know. Just not sure I can live with the mismatch. (I'm somewhat OCD about stuff like that.) Is yours better/worse/same?

I think its a little closer, but its def not a perfect match

 

I'm running both. The dual A-pillar pod seems to not fit the best. It's very deformed and the o-$hit handle does not mesh well over top. It will require some trimming and finesse to make everything fit better.

Edit - My trim in my truck is currently 3 colors, Black, Tan, Gray so I'm not too partial about the color anyways for the time being.

I ordered gray color matched from LC Engineering (it was drop shipped from Miami FL). It is fairly close. If you were to nit-pick, sure ...
