The dealer won't give you the US firmware, which is where I was going with this.

You're right, but the TCl-4421 fixes some bugs (reboot), it's better than nothing ...

But how to have the USA version in USB update? As most seem to do updates through their phone.

I'm about to mount a different set of tires/wheels on my 3rd gen after lifting. I will be posting my 16" TRD OR rims along with 265/75/16 KO2's to the buy and sell section in about 2 weeks when my new wheels come in. Tires have about 10K on them but have been highway driven and are like new. No damage to the rims whatsoever. I'm looking to sell these all as a set for $1200CAD OBO. I wanted to put this out there to you guys before I officially post them for sale. IMG_0839.jpg IMG_0840.jpg IMG_0841.jpg IMG_0850.jpg Shoot me a pm if seriously interested. I'm in the Vancouver area and want to keep this local so not looking to ship. Here are a few recent shots of these on the truck.

I can confirm that I own a 2017 TRD OR DCSB, no additional upgrades to it. no wireless charging in it. also be aware the USB port does not supply enough amps to charge a smartphone. Ended up just got USB dongle for the cigarette lighter.

I had previously noted that the optional "Sport Upgrade Package" (sunroof, wireless charging, blind spot monitors, rear cross traffic alert) from the 2016 TRD Sport is now standard on the 2017 TRD Sport but I hadn't clued in that the Upgrade Package wasn't available on the new to Canada for 2017 DCSB TRD Off Road.

The way Toyota Canada offers these trucks continues to baffle me. The TRD Sport DCSB is manual only and comes with the upgrade package, the TRD Off Road DCSB is automatic only and is not available with the upgrade package. Thankfully, my preferred configuration is one that is offered (and the one I bought) but I feel bad for those that want something else, like a DCSB Sport Automatic or a DCSB Off Road manual with a sunroof, both of which are offered in the US.

The usb port was designed for playing music off of a thump drive.

That said, depending on the phone you have some people have had success charging their phones off the usb port.

Bumper is slimline hybrid from SSO, $800USD shipped to border+duties. Winch is Smittybilt X20 with synthetic line, about $800CAD shipped to door. So, if you install yourself, you're looking at about $1900CAD. Take into account duties at the border for the bumper, should be just over $2000 all in.

Do you have four matching tires/wheels, or five? I'd be interested in a set of 5. Alternatively, may also be interested if someone wants my 17" sport wheels with 265/70/17 KO2s, with about the same 10k km mileage.

    Goderich.

You are probably thinking of Goderich as having the enormous deposits of salt that is mined. Windsor too, but not Guelph. No salt in Guelph.

I know what you mean. Toyota Canada is just weird in general. however, i have no use for wireless charging (my current case for my phone blocks some of the efficiency of it and retains to much heat).
That being said I would have loved a manual, but preferred the Offroad for its suspension, crawl control, and pitch indicator.
All in there both amazing trucks and very well suited to what they do. now i just need the money to put upgrades on it :/

In my testing so far, an iPhone 6 will charge off it in airplane mode continuously and intermittently when operating normally, however, if you try and do anything to it reconnects. My LGg3 on the other had charged for about 2-3 seconds then the USB port bugs out.
On the plus side, this is my only issue with the truck so far!

Looks like im waiting even longer before replace my bumper.
BTW did you look into any Duty-free places? I know there's a company for Van isle called SeaWings that can get stuff across the border duty-free. at the cost of $17 for the first 5 Lbs then $0.45 per pound after that.
