So we just created this idea that the Op was texting while driving(even though he says he wasn't)and we are now bashing anybody who defends the Op for having an ACCIDENT for any other reason?

I just want to make sure I'm catching this right

 

lol, bunch of keyboard cops we have in here. I love how everyone automatically assumed that he was texting because he looked down for a second, when he never said that in the OP. Like none of you have ever taken your eyes off the road for a split second for any reason, at any point in time in all the years you've been driving Whether it be because you dropped something, your bratty kids needed attention or you turned to look over your shoulder to change lanes. Shit happens people, that's why we have insurance.

@terps2005, did the insurance folks/shop give you a timeline on when they will be digging into the truck to get an estimate?

 

All I can say is DAMN it must of been good if you lost that much control!

Busy bodies on an Internet forum, that surprises you?

 

I picked a great time of year...initial estimate from them says 15 day repair time but the shop is closed between Christmas and New Years. I asked if they'd at least do the tear down before they left for the break but they just said it's possible depending on their other work. I doubt I'll have anything concrete until after the New Year and then probably a week or 2 after that...luckily my parents have a spare car I can drive around until it's fixed so I'm not paying for a rental the whole time.

 

Can you ever maintain control at that point?
