I have a '16 Tacoma TRD Sport, the CD player would not eject so the head unit was replaced. The vehicle is 7 months old. The replacement unit is going bonkers. Siri interrupts the radio almost constantly with the "how may I help you" voice prompt, the volume goes down to "0"on its own, these two behaviors tend to occur simultaneously but not always. Occasionally the radio changes stations, but this condition has shown up maybe a half a dozen times since the unit was replaced at end of October. Before the head unit was replaced, and after, I was using an iPhone 5. While searching on google with the truck ignition in accessory mode, the head unit would call my phone and immediately end the call. (as displayed on screen) This condition as shown itself a few times with both iPhone 5 and my new iPhone 7. I upgraded to iPhone 7 several weeks after the head unit was replaced. Here's an additional twist. My brother is a Toyota technical expert and training instructor for Toyota Motor Sales USA. He and his tech experts at the regional office have been investigating these behaviors as reports come in from the field and around the country. Thus far it is believed (theorized) that i0s version 10.1.1 has an issue with the head unit. My brother will be in town shortly and hopefully with some new news. It is very annoying to say the least. All functions of the radio and NAV work fine otherwise. This is my 9th Toyota vehicle since 1993. Love em all. Any one having or had this kind of situation?

Could the steering wheel controls be shorting out or messed up? All of those actions are available via steering wheel too.. long shot..

iOS 10.2 is out, I would see if it makes any difference.
