I think one would work for me at home, and I do a couple of side jobs so could write it off as a work expense for taxes. My new laptop has a GeForce GTX 1070 so I could drive at least a couple of those puppies. Hmmm...

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
Very sharp display. The only issue I had with it is that the manual was only in Korean (I think - maybe it was simplified Chinese). Good thing you don't really need instructions for a monitor.

I use a long handled shoe horn my grandmother got me many years ago, and start the sock on it. One of the guys at work has the sciatic nerve issue also and one of the first things he said to me is "how much fun is tying your shoes". That one is a pain in the you know what no matter how I do it.

For a minute there thought you had an old FJ40 with a Chevy 350 or 327 in it to go with your gorgeous hammer gun and Swede. Almost started to pass out with envy then realized that it wouldn't have an OBD port if that was the case. Blood is slowly starting to make its way back to my brain, disaster diverted.

First time I connected to a server in China and saw it was in Chinese at the user interface I about chit myself. Got into the registry and thank goodness it is all in English. Then when I started to type to make changes in the registry realized that the keyboard input was set to Mandarin....

Morning kiddies. we have a wonderful set of storms coming through the area and lots of rain. It has been so long since we actually had a wet December.

Roach clips, you have roach clips
I used to build all my PCs, was really into it and knew all the latest and greatest peripherals. I was looking at the last one I built, over built, really, and it is still fast. but then I realized I am still using a 22" square LED monitor. meh, it works.

A lot depends on what you are using for editing etc. I have Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Creative Cloud. In PS normal use is dual monitors one for main screen and one for editing. With that said when I got my laptop I went a 17" gaming laptop with the best screen, half TB. SSD, 32mb. RAM, etc. it weighs 8 pounds. But to get the most out of it should really get dual monitors. But work from a recliner most of the time LOL so would have to build custom arms to hold them which is holding me back.

Bang for the buck would get this one especially if dual displays.

If money was no object there are a lot of high end ones out there. But a reasonable comprise and more of a pro solution are the NEC Spectraviews with calibration, I've worked with a lot of NEC monitors in the imaging field and really like them.

Some feel 27" is the largest you should get but because you can't rip panels off in Lightroom 32" would work for me. Not sure which way I'm going to go yet.

When I moved into my house about 15 years ago had a spool of Cat 5 and wired the whole house. Spent a full day running a 4' drill bit through wall headers and snaking cable for just one run. Had stacked KVM switches to all my computers, some which were running VMWare, to a 20" CRT HP monitor which picked up at a huge discount from an HP-UX NIX install, think I only paid $750 for it about a third of the sales price. Last year had a guy come out to haul everything away and he paid me some money when he left. Filled the bed of a F-350 and the trailer he had. If I would have taken it down to the city recycling center it would have cost me hundreds of dollars that HP monitor alone weighed more than a hundred pounds. I haven't stayed up with the latest greatest hardware since and don't miss it now. Now where the hell did I put those roach clips.

LOL. On my old boiler had an alligator clip stuck on the end of a 2 foot piece of wire to light the pilot when the wind would backdraft and suck it out. Used the clip to hold a lit match. Bent the end of the wire handle to hook over a piece of pipe near the boiler. Every repair man that ever showed up to work on that old POS boiler would look at it, hesitate a moment then get a big shit eating grin on their face. Never did say anything to any of them but was tempted more than once.

So you thought there was no longer a need for IBM 2 foot long ISA SCSI 5 mb. sec cards either? :D

My oldest son who does level 2 support for Apple (and I trained LOL) said I should have donated most of it to a museum.
