Front passenger airbag noise? Has anyone experienced this?

I feel like the piece that pops off when the airbags deploy is the part that's rattling whenever I go on rough roads. Going to take the glove box off this morning and see if I can see whats loose...

Creaking or rattling? Mine creaks, my dads creaks, his hold Tacoma creaked... Seems like it's a common thing. We just shoved a piece of foam down between the dash and the window and then voila, noise gone.

Just remove the airbag. With a sledge hammer. Or cutting torch.

In all seriousness, how much did your foam compress the dash? I found mine had to be shoved quite far down with a fair amount of pressure.

I have something similar - usually only when the truck is cold. Once it warms up, I dont notice it anymore.

Not affected by blower / heater on or off. Can't change the rattle no matter where I press or hold the dash - definitely well Inside.

Seems unlikely I will ever find.

yup, sounds exactly like mine.... I once took some playing cards and inserted them into the airbag panel cracks and it stopped the noise... so I am assuming its that.

I used some heavy duty silicone spray around the bag and mine stopped. It's been over a year.

Some of the air bag modules have been known to loosen up.
I had the typical dash rattle near windsheild. If you just laid your hand on it, it would go away. I tried everything to get it to stop. I finally ended up takin a can of minimal expanding foam, with windsheild out (being replaced due to rock damage ) i gave it a quick shot in 4 places across the dash. Ended up with about a silver dollar size shot of foam. One spot i had to trim after it dried with razor knife because you could see it. That was 2 years ago still quiet.

Check on the underside of the airbag if it's a rattle. Remove your glove box, and you'll see two bolts up behind that. Those on mine were loose and caused a rattle. Iirc, pressing on airbag didnt help to diagnose it. It wasn't until I took the glove box out and looked up there and the bolts were halfway out. Hope that's it in your case too.
