PS fluid should be red or amber.

Pretty sure it's just time consuming. While changing my gears I saw I had oil around my tranny and engine oil pan. Guess I'll be replacing that sometime soon.

Oh and also i had my alignment done a while back at city garage... since i got it back from then i have noticed some noise (a popping of sorts) coming from my driver fender when going over rough areas or decent pot holes on the road. I know that the rack and pinion is adjusted during alignments, is it possible to damage a rack and pinion if something is left loose after an alignment?

Hahaha. None by me! I would like to see what all is involved in that process as i plan to get lockers for at least the rear wheels.

But i need to figure out this rack and pinion stuff first!

Its possible. But good luck getting them to admit fault and take care of it.

The only thing that they adjust for alignments will be the tie rod end length, there is a nut on the inner tie rod that the use to set the outer tie rod once it is adjusted.... unless they did something crazy, should not affect your power steering function at all

Ok so for all the people that are not going to Barnwell on Jan 13-15th.....

I got a request to have a meetup for the DFW area guys closer to DFW. I know that there has been talk about meeting at an OHV for a while, however some people do not want to drive all the way out there for the meet up....

So... would anyone be interested in having another meetup in January that would be closer to the DFW area? @sabino0822 would like to meet up with a few guys if anyone else is interested. Let me know.

@Iamraiderpower we need you to perform your OP/Mod duties and post up some announcements about the meetup on the front page.

Its just hard to imagine my rack and pinion being bad already. And im sure its not part of the drive train so its probably not covered under warranty.

I guess it depends on how bad the leak is. I had to add some power steering fluid to my 09 last year and have been keeping an eye on it, seems to be doing fine... I'd just keep checking the level to see if there is an issue.

That would be an easy way to determine a leak...
