Don't get me wrong, someone could totally steal the bed mat. But the odds are stacked in your favor. Then again you can't put a price on piece of mind.

I have a cover now but on my last Tacoma before I put a cover on it I screwed the mat down. I used 4 round headed stainless self tapping screws with stainless fender washers. I screwed them in to the high ridges of the bed. I think you just have to make them do a little work and they will say fuck it and move on.

 

I guess I'll just have to convince the wife I desperately need the tonneau cover now so that we are better protected. Right? Back me up fellas lol.

 

But don't kid yourself no matter if it's a cap or a cover they only keep honest people honest. If a thief wants into one it's really not that hard.

 

For sure, I'm just getting a TruXport anyways so they could slash it open. I won't really ever keep anything of value in there unattended besides the bed mat.

 

Cracks not economical vs meth for a junky. It's a wonder crack even still exists in this country. Seems it's a regional thing.
