In the summer it's hot, dry, and crawling with rattle snakes

Yeah that's why I've never really stopped there while headed to the mammoth area during the summer. I wanted to get up out of that hot valley as fast as I could. But during the winter, that's a different story.

That's something I would like to make.

I had an idea that I can get 2 others from SoCal who wold like to tow their trucks out to Moab. I can take the dually and the 40' flatbed to easily fit 3 rigs and split on fuel. And that would afford the piece of mind knowing that you and your truck would still make it home if anything was to happen to your truck while out there.

I've just seen some videos of it and always wondered about it as I'm flying by the exit.

I'll have to see how the scheduling for this event plays out, and PTO availability at work for those day.

I'll be keeping an eye out for more info on it, and, if anything, I'll post up with that offer when the time comes.

I've never been wheeling out there, or to this event, but I have driven to that area several times. I figure a 5 day trip, with the last day being we wake up, pack up, then leave.

I've worked at pleasant valley, and we take everyone's kids there on opening weekend every year. It really depends on what you consider good fishing. You can easily limit out everyone who fished it last year pulled out atleast one 5+ lb rainbow, but they are all stocked fish and theirs really no skill involved in fishing it. Personally I think their is way better fishing up there, but if your goal is just to catch fish that's one of the better spots.
