Just got a 2017 DCSB TRD Off Road, wife traded prius to keep and drive my 98 :) I like the Rally Armor's Splitbolt! I live on a gravel road (when home) and build Golf Courses for a living, in and out of dirt daily. i like the mud guard look but mostly the practicality. I don't do any recreational wheeling so clearance is not much an issue as I try to stay outta bad areas while on the job site. My 98 OEM flaps are still in tack and I think that it's because of the flexibility. The new 16-17 Oems look solid, non flex, not sure they are what I want to get.

Congrats on the truck! I put the Plasticolor flaps (easy fit) that are linked at the bottom of the page. They have been great and were super easy to install. Pretty tough to beat the price too!

So I went for the stock OEM's. I am happy with the look, hopefully they hold up. Dealer price was 130 installed. Tried to add pics.

Might have to try the plasticolor ones. I have the rokblokz regular flaps and they're still pretty hard. Are the plasticolor really flexible?

For the front wheel wells, where did you guys screw in a third screw (if you did)? I have noticed that with the plasticolor 11x19's my stock tires rub against them when I turn. Really need to reinforce and secure the interior side of the flap. Thought about screwing in a piece of metal that would extend in and hold the flap against the wheel well but that doesn't sound like a long term solution.

With no factory flares and an uneven mounting surface I bent over and paid $80 for the WT flaps. 10min install was worth saving a few bucks for me--and I'm a cheap bastid! They look good and I'm pleased with my purchase.

My 2016 DCOR is 1 yr old. I do drive gravel roads often. My truck has OEM mud flaps. I just recently noticed a lot of paint chips on my rear rocker panels. I'm not happy about this damage! Also my rear black fender flares are also very rough from gravel hits. I can only think of 2 options to prevent these chips. #1 install OEM running boards like part #PT767-35160. These would block all gravel from hitting the rocker panels. #2 Apply clear bra film on the rocker panels to prevent chips. Has anyone applied the clear bra. How did it hold up?

clear bra wont protect your paint from offroad/gravel use. only for small tiny chips. and they tend to be expensive!

Thanks for the information. I think running boards will provide the best paint and fender flare protection for running gravel roads.

Believe the 4x4's are only available in the 11x19's. They're the perfect size imo. I have the regular mountain scene 11x19's on the front and the 4x4's on the back.
