    From my experience I would buy a couple. Those spur gears were always a weak link on all my cars/trucks. I've ran a lot of cars over the years-Traxxis, Kyosho, Team Associated and HPI. Gas and electric. All will blow through spur gears. Just something you need to stock up on. You can also play around with the gearing to help that low end grunt for "rock crawling" or that top end for those "speed passes" or keep it stock cause it just works. Blue loctite is a must when putting back any motor mount screws. Ohhh I don't miss those bi-weekly trips to the hobby shop... but my son has been poking some interest at them lately. I just know what it all leads too. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    Fun times. Endless nights rebuilding. Countless trips to the hobby shop. I can still smell that nitro fuel smell stuck in my nose for days. Eyes burning from the fumes trying to tune it. Blisters on my fingers from pull starting to find out that the glow starter is dead. You need backups for backups. Multi-station chargers, multiple battery packs and the list goes on.
