    Same as everybody else...
Morning folks...I'm into day 3 of my 6 day vacation. I had leave to" use it or lose it "and I ain't giving it back to my employer! Going to the gym for a bit, than grocery shopping and hanging out with my son. May find something to do on the truck...I do lead an exciting life! I hope y'all have a good one, if you're travelling I hope you get where you need to be safely.

    Observations

People who complain about a rough ride in a Tacoma don't know what a truck is suppose to ride like.
Real trucks knock stuff the dash when you hit a bump. You can tow a house.
a real truck doesn't get 2500 dollars in damages by tapping someone or something. They have a bumper you can back into a 6 inch tree, knock it over, drive away and rub off the tree mark with a rag.
A real truck doesn't have push buttons to change into 4wd. They have levers and you need to get out and lock the hubs.
Real trucks don't have leather seats, moon roofs, or ac.
They have man. windows, and a blanket if you think the seat is to hard or a hole in it.
Real trucks don't need any tlc. They just run.
    Kinda like real friends.
    It's rough
    It's expensive
    It's tough
    It isn't easy
    Sometimes hot, sometimes cold.
    No TLC
    They are just there.

Merry Christmas to my TW friends.

    Nice observations.
Merry Christmas to you and yours Mike!

    Funny you should write that.
I've had both types of trucks.
The first was a 72 ford 3/4 ton looong bed with Dana axles 4wd 13" lift. Railroad iron for rear bumper 3" well pipe on front. No heat. No ac. Driver window didn't roll down. It fell down whenever the block came out inside door.

They screwed up my vacation/ sick days so I need this day off. But now I'm 3 days short for my racing next year. I'll worry about that later

I traded that one in on my last 97 taco that I miss also. But it was backfiring on the way and the driver door stopped opening and you had to get in and out passenger side. It had an electrical gremlin.
Salesman looked out window and told me what he'd give me for it and I said SOLD!
After he had to drive it to used lot he came back in and said he was going to get fired.
He asked why I didn't tell him about all the problems. I said you didn't ask.....

I Refrain From 4wd now. Unless I move somewhere where it's needed. I get into too much trouble with a 4wd.

Get a white noise generator. Or some quiet music, suitable for sleeping. Did wonders for this 59 year old.
