Well scratch factor 55 off the vendor list I'll purchase from.

If they sent me an extra and called me up to send it back I'm not sure I could stop laughing long enough to tell them to F off!

this group buy had nothing to do with Factor55 nor was it approved by Factor55. It was through Overland Jeep Gear and items were all drop shipped from a 3rd party wholesaler. Factor55 is good people, this has nothing to do with them.

I'm aware of their prices and I'm sure their profit margin is high enough to absorb a shipping fubar on their end.

I was not a participant in the group buy. I actually issued a word of caution early on to those participating that this was not approved by Factor55 and was a violation of their MAP pricing policy and as such items purchased in this group buy likely wont qualify for any warranty support due to being purchased through a non authorized dealer.

Overland Jeep Gear to my knowledge was contacted by Factor55 and asked to not proceed with the group buy and was pre-warned of the warranty issue. They were supposed to contact Ramon and inform him of this as well.

As an authorized and longtime stocking dealer for Factor55 I find comments like "scratch Factor55 from my list" troubling especially when they were not involved what so ever, so the record needed to be set straight as to who was asking for the product back.

Sounds to me more like you've gotten your panties in a twist because everyone didn't purchase through you!

Factor55 might be good people, but a company that is going to threaten to void a warranty because of "who or how" it was sold is not so good in my book! Either they make a good product and stand behind every product that leaves the factory, or they're greedy POS's that don't stand behind their product and that's not so good. Picking and choosing which warranties they'll honor is BS!

I'm just passing along correct information and protecting Factor55 because they did not have anything to do with this sale nor it was not authorized or approved by them.

In regards to your "panties" comment, Ramon offered to let us take over the GB and we declined because its a direct violation of our agreement with Factor55 and is a violation of their MAP pricing policy, as an authorized dealer should.

Manufacturers have these agreements in place to protect not only themselves but also you and the end user and purchaser. Purchasing through approved vendors means that you are buying a product from someone that has training on its use and appropriate application. All warranty claims regardless of what the product is require a bill of sale showing correct pricing and where the product was purchased, that's why warranties are only extended to the original purchaser and do not extend to private sales. You wouldn't buy a TV on Craigslist and try to have Best Buy warranty it would you?
