Well looking into bigger tires than 265/75 and it's not looking like it will be easy to fit 285. I wish it was just some uca and cmc...

Just some wheels with backspacing, trimming, cmc, and UCAs. Should be plenty. I am actually thinking about going even bigger. I just don't want to trim any fenders.

    Advice needed.

I started painting my chrome bumper to be body-matched today, and it got me thinking about getting rid of the last piece of chrome on the truck: the steps. I want to keep them, and since they're old, I'm thinking black textured paint (grip paint). My question: have any of y'all done this, and what did you use? I'm planning on eventually painting the whole part, not just the step pads. I'd thought about spray liner, but heard the grip/adhesion isn't great. Haven't through much about roll-on due to the extra work/potential extra cost. Suggestions?

Hope y'all are having a merry Christmas.

I've always heard to add sand. Just never tried it myself.

Hmm, I hadn't heard that before, but it makes sense. However, I don't trust myself to do a good job with a roll or brush on. Haha.

I'm thinking my current plan of attack is just suck it up and sand, primer, then rustoleum spray bed liner.

I was originally planning on making the trip with y'all. And I am still making the trip. We have a group of 4 vehicles and may link up with y'all at some point anyway on the trail. our dates are 5-15th of may. We are doing Moab driving through Colorado then going to Overland expo west. (Featured vehicle) :) Then leaving expo that Sunday at lunch and headed back. Will give us 4-5 days in Moab and 3 days at expo. We are doing a video series on our adventure. We are going to start our first Mini season this spring. So y'all be on the lookout for updates.:cheers:
