Bro-mobile sitting at bommarito. (In for my 5k service)
Is it just me or are those wheels sorta worthless for offroad? From what i see on google theyre alloy. Aside from just being ugly..
Laughed at the painting the decals. That's $6 in a can of spray paint or plastidip. They made the emblem on the grill black, but left the rest chrome. I think they'd be better off throwing the pro grill on there for more bro-Ness.

I don't think theres anything wrong with alloy wheels for offroading. The only other thing I could see that would be better would be some beadlocks. However what you posted is definitely mall crawler. I just love the All Terrain tires with very little sidewall. Its like an oxy-moron.

What's sad is that they're marking up $5,900 for some lift blocks, ebay decals, and some knockoff rims with Tires they probably get dirt cheap. But at the end of the day they'll sell it no problem

Who would ever buy Kumho Off Road tires?

Eh from what I've read steel is better. Though I think these are just ugly regardless. They have a sport infront of it outside with better looking ones of the same brand. But yes it's a definite mall crawler.
It's a '17 so the bed will lock with the key fob, and it has the tech package. Which is why I don't understand why they didn't rid the last of the chrome with the grill.

And yes very much so. I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head when I was looking at it.

Oh and with the tires? ...the dad buying it for his hs son, who both know shit about anything.

I mean I'm sure steel is tougher but it's also heavier and more prone to corrosion. Plus you have to get special TPMS sensors for them. In the 14 months I've owned the truck, I've been wheeling twice. I'll keep to my alloys lol

My main concern would be no sidewall too. There is no airing down of that setup. I think it's ment for running up and down Manchester road more than offroad. It will be parked at Lafayette HS before too long. Wow, 47k:rofl: There is a sucker born every day. I'm sure I've blown my money in ways other people think is stupid too.

We live in "bro-dozer" world, and if you are in the business of selling cars in that market you are going to do what it takes to appeal to the masses. I've seen allot of people make an uneducated purchase in an off-road vehicle that they believed was extremely capable just to find out that to safely do what they want to do with it lots of changes are ahead of them.

Steel versus alloy had been an ongoing debate for years with multiple positive points for each. One obvious pro for steel is that you can bend them back if bent. The laughing point is that most of the people that run steel wheels for that reason don't carry the tools to effect that repair nor have they ever practiced it on a set of junk wheels before actually needing it in the real world.

They usually just buy blocks. More like high heels than a lift kit.

I knew it had air shocks on it when I bought it but I didn't think that the rear bumper was only held on with two bolts. The shame was that the nipple for the manifold was threaded through one of the holes that really needed a bolt. What was awesome about it all is that even with the air shocks blown out and acting like bump stops the thing just ate up trails.

True. I've gone the cheap route with anything looks wise so far. Plastidip is my friend. When I buy new wheels in a couple years- I might get pretty ones, but they'll be better ones than my stock at the same time.

If memory serves me correct the air shocks lasted almost thirty minutes into the first trail. A trail that was marked as a medium and turned out to be a hardcore trail due to the flooding from the year before. Met a bunch of seriously built trail machines on 40's and up working on a problem and all of us were scratching our heads as to why the other was there.
