Top 2 rows on the table are the run per foot of common and hip/valley rafters shown as inches and decimal inches

The values in each row correspond to the roof pitch in 12 of the number above each row

For example , an 18/12 pitch common rafter is 21.63 inches long per foot of run

I'm actually really bothered you can't have it do both.
probably rare time I like imperial is MPG vs l/100km
but if I set the truck to MPG it puts the speed etc into miles.

I just like Fahrenheit vs celcius.
0 is a poor freezing point as it's not very cold and 100 C is dead.
In Fahrenheit 0 is a very cold day and 100 is a very hot day. Makes for a complete range from hot to cold. Maybe celcius is better for science.

I've got a similar beef with my thermostats at home. If I use 12hr am/pm time, it forces Fahrenheit units for temperature. If I use 24hr time, it forces Celsius. Why the hell would time and temperate units be forcefully tied together? Because made in 'murica, that's why. If our costs to manufacture in Canada wasn't so high, we might manufacturer more stuff here. As it is, most of the stuff we need comes from the USA or China.

Water freezing at 0 makes so much more sense than 32

    well....
in a way would kind of make sense.
US use fahrenheit, and 12hour clock.

Pretty sure every european country uses 24hr clock and Cel.
Kind of like how if I put my fuel to MPG it puts everything to imperial.

Don't get me wrong I agree with you its kind of stupid but I can see where the program idea comes from. Figure most that will want the metric unit likely use 24hr clock. I'm amazed you love metric but don't use 24hr as well haha.
Nothing in my house is imperial programmed. Everything is metric and 24hr clock.

Used to work on marine gen sets that used Standard, Metric, Whitworth, BSP, BSPP, and NPT, depending upon which part of the engine you were working on and how old the component was. To me the pissing match is kinda like the complaining I hear every time we come up to a Daylight Savings time change.

that daylight saving thing causes so many confusions when it comes to talking to my family back home in Italy lol.
since most of them have this idea you should not be using the phone after 10pm (they're old)
sometimes I forget the hour difference haha.

Don't you worry, Angry lil'fella, if the US ever goes back, they'll be using Metric too. Most of the high-end scientific research and businesses in the US are now working in metric or migrating to it.

Nope, took it to the dealership. The guy said there was a button like older model Toyotas I said nope no button. He said it's in the head unit. Nope no button. He said did you try the dash unit I said yep no button. I then advised if it was something to plug into the computer and reset that way. He said nope. Then his ultimate answer was. Have you ever looked on this forum called Tacoma world? I said no luck there. He said try the dealer you bought it from cause I have no clue. (Tried them too no idea either)

Looks like you have to move on to a new location that uses the metric system.
