I need some new tires as my last set of BFG Rugged Terrains have over 70K on them and one of the sidewalls just had a non-patchable leak. I have an 06 TRD Offroad Prerunner with OME 885xs and Billsten 5100s set to 0 up front and a 1.5" AAL in the rear. I will be changing out the 16" TRD wheel for the newer 17" 4runner wheels.
Trying to figure out the largest tire size I can run without terrible rubbing. This is just a mall crawler, so I rarely take it off road.
Currently looking at 285/75/17 in either the BFG Rugged Terrain or the BFG KO2s or 255/80/17 KM2s (are these too skinny and tall?).

Are you running that size? I'm wondering if it will work on stock alloys?
