I just finished turning halibut into poor man's lobster. Just wife and I tonight, we're making Halibut Cheese Won-Tons.

Prime Rib with the kids tomorrow evening.

Waving goodbye to every bit of ground my workouts the last 3 weeks gained me.

My wife is 3 yrs 9 mos older than I ... the other day we were in town and she was driving. Pulled up in front of supermarket and she pulls into "Senior" posted parking spot. I was like "what? She says "oh yeah, I get senior discounts too." I almost cried.

Shit...never thought about it that way ... until now.

 

You could cook anyhow, I am because I like to eat Maybe too much.

I like dark meat especially Turkey so braising some thighs for about 3 hours then pull the meat off the bones. Make gravy out of the stock for the turkey and potatoes. Stove top stuffing isn't all that bad and easy to make. And that will be swimming in gravy also. Picked up a small Hormel ham and will cut a couple slices and make a pineapple brown sugar sauce for it. And then stay off the bathroom scales for a week or more so I don't know how much damage I have done

But then New Years is right around the corner. I usually grill for that too and my oldest son and his wife will come over

When I first started with the BLM I was living in San Diego but working in El Centro and lived in my travel trailer at NAF El Centro during the week. Every Sunday I'd get to my trailer and grill all my dinner meats for the week. It was actually pretty fun. I did that for better than 3 years.
