Yeah it is. My sister has been struggling for some time now.

It's really hard to watch. Love her so much but she won't listen to a word I say.

 

I lost my best friend to it, I got him off it twice, flying across the country to do it. He's not dead, just forever lost.

 

Continues to amaze me. Some people seem bent on destroying themselves and hurting everyone around them. Best of luck to your sister and your family.

H used to show up in the small town where I went to college. Trouble always followed.

Let me know if we need to kidnap her? That's actually what I did to my friend, with the help of his brother. He stayed clean for a year, then fell right back in.

 

I feel pretty lucky to have come through life fairly unscathed by drugs or alcohol. Could have have been so much worse. Much to be thankful for as the child of an alcoholic.

 

She's been in and out of places for the past 20yrs.

Not sure what else there is to be done.

 

That's often what happens. Takes only one moment of weakness.

She's called and texted me twice today but won't answer my calls and texts now....

 

My friends ex wife just relapsed, after 15 years of being clean. We found out from the daughter. I was shocked.

 

Dang it man.

It's a wicked drug.

 

I was always the one that could turn it off when it was time to get back to work and the real world.

I hold a lot of guilt because many of my friends couldn't do it like that and paid the ultimate price.

 

On that note I must be off to the annual fam Xmas open house.

Tomorrow it's our turn to host everyone. Wish me luck!
