3rd Gen Tacoma Model/Package/Option Costs Master List

update 20 (09-DEC-16) : moved the DPH fee to be more noticeable since people seem to forget to add this to calculations

 

So would i be able to use the invoice price from the Cost Master List to my favor instead of the dealer invoice? Its $807 less with the DPH taken into account.

 

dealer invoice will include other fee's that I cannot account for such as TDA and any regional/dealer fee's. that's where your haggle skill comes in.

TDA is Toyota dealer advertisement fee that is passed down from the regional to the dealers for each vehicle. most dealers wont budge on this.

typically TDA will run around 6xx dollars per vehicle.

if your in GST/SET regions your on your own since they don't follow Toyota rules.

my list just makes it so you know the ballpark of what the cost of a vehicle is. if you can walk out TTL at the invoice price in the list your doing good.

some strive to get below that and some live with it or just above it. each person is different on what they feel comfortable with.

i ended up at invoice but after TTL fee's and extra's i was out the door at MSRP.

each there own.

 

If I wanted to cite this source when haggling on a vehicle what would I call it? Is there an official source that this is derived from? The first dealer I have talked to is saying invoice is about $1800 more than what I have calculated here.

 

there is no official invoice source, its what is gathered from dealer daily printouts from Toyota USA. if you are trying to use this in GST/SET regions then these numbers may/may not apply since they are NOT required to follow Toyota USA pricing.

 

Thanks for the info. I'm in the mountain region. The first dealer I have spoken with sent me the same sheets you had in post #106 minus the third sheet with the invoice cost vs MSRP. Should I ask for the third sheet or just go ahead and state the invoice prices listed here?

 

it depends on the dealer. the invoice pricing is pretty much spot on across Toyota usa dealers. most forum users that have used my numbers say they are either exact or pretty dam close.

 

Don't worry about then A at the end of the model code. It's just a batch code.

Anyone suggest dealerships around Santa Cruz, possibly San Jose area or Bay area? Went to the toyota dealership in santa cruz today and they wouldn't budge from msrp.
