Yeah I also want some info on that. LEDs are basically impossible to "burn out". My suspicion is that the circuit board that is cooled by the fans overheated because either the fan jammed or broke somehow.

The other option is that it never happened.

I love that bumper, looks great on your truck. That's my next mod I'm saving up for. Bumper, winch and relocate my light bar.

I've been busy the last few weeks with some mods.

Two Sundays ago I installed a dash cam. I went with the Z Edge 3, did a lot of research and it had all the features I needed, did not want a rear facing camera right now. I have it wired to the lighter right now, ran the wire hidden behind the head liner, down the passenger A pillar, under the glove box. Only see a small amount of wire at the plug in. I may hard wire one day but happy with the way it is right now. Got it on sale for $89.00 including shipping.

    20161224_150051.jpg

Last Saturday I installed a Scan Gauge II. I really like it a lot, has all the gauges I want except oil pressure. And, it actually will read transmission temperature. If you look at the picture the upper left gauge is trans temp; I just started the truck so temperature is low. At operating temperature it runs about 185º. I picked it up on Amazon for $109.98. Had the Ultragauge Blue before and could never get it to read transmission temperature.

    20161224_145937.jpg

Finally today I installed the OEM Toyota roof rack. I have been wanting one for awhile and finally got one on sale for $260 including shipping. Really like the looks of it and I have plenty of use for it. It installed in a little over an hour and a half but took my time. Only thing I didn't like about the install is there are 4 small bolts up front that are a PITA to install. The holes are hard to line up and they have Torx size 20 heads that want to strip out, so you have to be really careful. The only thing that I don't like about the rack, and its petty, is the front lacks about a 1\16" from touching the windshield trim. The OCD in me won't let that pass so I'll have to come up with something to fix it. Sorry for the crappy pictures, been raing here today so had to install in the garage.

Now have to save up for new front bumper and winch. I am going to go with the SSO slimline bumper, really like it a lot and it has the ability to add a winch which I want and they can do a custom cut out so I can reuse my existing LED light bar.

It's been a good year for the 'yota (not so much for my bank account), thanks to all for some great ideas!

Merry Christmas to all those on Tacoma World, I hope you all get some nice stuff for your trucks!

The grill mesh is from customcargrills.com and is $80 for the flat black finish. It's just the mesh and all I had to do was glue it in.

How many watts are you drawing with the lights? In my 17 DCOR its 400w when in park or neutral. And something like 150-200W when driving.

I ran 2 strands around my bed, no issues with it yet.
