Looking forward to your lion pictures. What size trap are you using?

Bridger #2 dogless I believe, also a mix of duke #2 and 3s I believe.

Bear opens back up again tomorrow so that's good.

Bear trapping or hunting? I'd love to run a set for bear. Probably wouldn't check those in the dark though.

...^^^... Do you have any problems with snakes in those open fields in the summer ??

I used to go with friends in southern Georgia when they went bird hunting (mainly quail) and the big problem was always snakes (cottonmouths, copperheads & rattlesnakes) in the creeks, woods and many in the open fields.

Very dangerous for the people and the dogs ... I quit going after 2 people were bitten in the same hunting season.

There are prairie rattlers, but if you stay off of southern exposed rocks and get your dogs snake braked, you usually get by okay. Early season I like to hunt local for ruffed grouse and blues, usually higher elevations where there are no snakes. When it get's colder I'll go out in the grasslands.

What you questioning your own answer for? I hunt every game
Animal in South Carolina, that being said, we don't have a mountain lion season. Just wondering what the hell you do with it.

I didn't kill it, we skinned it out and packed some meat out. I know he's planning on mounting it.
