Nitrogen in tire?

What about hydrogen? Hmmmmm

 

The whole debate about nitrogen versus air and so on is kind of funny to me. Been running nitrogen in all my tires for over 20 years. I do HVAC work so I usually keep a couple of tanks of it in my service van all the time. Easier to grab on of those than go to the shop and start the air compressor to fill up a tire. Matter of convience for me.

Costco puts it in for free when the put the tires on or if it needs refilling. I don't know if it's better or not, but I will say it seems to keep "air" in the tire a lot longer without the need to add every few weeks and the tire pressure doesn't seem to fluctuate as much. Could be all in my head tho.

Gimmick. Yes, nitrogen is good but likely way overpriced, and you may NEVER realize any benefits. . One other factor: you will be continuously topping off your tire pressure. Will you be using nitrogen for that? I would stick with air and find a dealer that tells the truth.

 

Do some of you guys check your air pressure from morning to afternoon?
Whenever I check my pressure, morning, mid day, after driving, before driving, it's always the same, 38 psi.
