I guess 3/8" is more accurate. My bad.

    1/2" impact for $100 ain't bad.

The other day I knocked over my bullet blender container, with the screw on blade still attached and took a large enough chunk out that juice comes through the gasket while blending. I used my HF epoxy and was a little leery as to the quality, but I was happily surprised at how well it did in repairing my mistake.

I bought one of their 3 piece clamping kits and those have worked great. I used them to help hold my fiberglass on while I drilled holes. The long one helped immensely. Also held on stuff for welding. Pretty beat up after getting weld sparks on them lol

Their heat gun works well too for it's price.

Zip ties SUCK. Don't ever buy the zip ties. You pull them through and the tab breaks lol

I have had good luck with HF zip ties, with new things I'm always finding uses for them and haven't had one break like that yet.

I agree with you on the screw gun bits and feel the same way about their sawzall blades too. I haven't used my heat gun very often, but it seems to hold up well with the things I have used it for.

Oh and the tube roller haha! Friend of mine bought one and there's a bolt on it (I think it held the die or something) but once pressure was put on it, it broke. He welded it back together, got a little bit of a bend, broke again. Repeated this about 100 times and about 12hrs later we got a sort of bent tube LOL. Not super smooth though and left little kinks. I say it sort of worked, but it wasn't pretty, would not recommend.

I've used these clamps pretty extensively. Mine range from good enough to shit and they've been welded a time or two (at the base of the clamp arms).

Cheap enough to keep using them but I'd love to use a good set.

I think quality control is lacking on your package, but have used them often and I'm happy with them.

Forgot I have those clamps too. Work just fine for basic use. Nice sets just cost to much :(

I also have their corner clamp
    [IMG]

It works decently well. Ive only used them for getting metal lined up 90 degrees. Just a tack or two and then pull it out of the clamp. But it has worked so far.

I also have their welding magnets which work just fine. They are magnets....hard to screw them up lol

Not sure if anyone else has posted about this impact, but it's amazing! Anyone who says it doesn't work maybe is using the tiny 2amp batteries... Or just doesn't know righty tighty lefty loosey. :)

I used it to swap out suspension, with one of the 5amp batteries and it was still full of power when i got done. Shock bolts, lug nuts, it'll take anything out with ease. And it has 3 speeds to adjust the torque so you don't put your lugs on with a ton of torque.

It stays in the truck in case of a flat tire.

I've got the 18V.....and VERY pleased with it. Three 18V drills, Two 18V sawzall's, an 18V circular saw, two 18V lights, an 18V vacuum, and an 18V jig saw.....eight chargers and 20 batteries......So the choice to buy an 18V impact was a no brainer.

I've used it to rotate tires on my truck, and to swap out a front suspension on another Tacoma. It has all the torque it needs and then some. Battery life far exceeds my expectations, and it was cheap! ($99 on sale @ Home Depot a few weeks ago)

Yeah i started out with an 18v set years ago for home use... The batteries still held a decent charge and tools worked 6 years later. So i upgraded to the 20v stuff. I have most of that stuff and now am eyeing the 60/120v options. Probably need to pick up the 20v miter saw soon with a 60v battery to start. :)

The large 120v battery miter saw i think is the same thing as the plug in version, comes with batteries and an adapter to plug it in... Pissed i didn't wait for it to come out, but may upgrade anyways.

Crap, just noticed on this morning's run that they put in a Harbor Freight about a 5 minute drive away. Already have their ball joint kit to do u-joints and one of their smaller compressors. I see more toys in my future.

Last year the wife got me :

I was skeptical but with a decent 96 point Diablo blade in it I have over the year used it to add on to our barn and numerous other projects--it is not contractor quality, but for $125 on sale (less than 1/4 of a similar Dewalt) it is not bad either. Once aligned it has made repeatedly accurate cuts...

I used the fluid transfer pump when i did my trans fluid flush and it worked very well.
The Drum brake tool set was perfect for when I did my rear shoes, especially the plier looking thingy.
