10k Oil Service - Metal in oil still?

    :boink: i always let it sit before checking the dipstick lol. I thought that was a given

    I actually have to check mine on the regular because the dodge uses oil

    Yeah, I do as well. Once the vehicle is outside of its warranty. This is why I have a tough time brining it into the dealer for the free oil change. I think that was the last time I will.

    You can change your oil and not void your warranty. To play it safe i keep the receipt for the oil and filter, and also log the date and mileage.

    I have owned 3 recent toyotas from new and have never once allowed anyone else to change the oil. And it has never been an issue for any warranty work.

    Good to know, that is a good plan you have to play it safe.... That's the way I think I might being rolling moving forward. No need to deal with the dealerships anymore!

    Dude, and on top of that. I do not have to worry about the techs needing to find someone that can drive stick... Makes me wonder how many stalls and crap went on when I was not there... :confused:

    Absolutely.

    I tell them up from that it's not that I don't trust them, people can make an honest mistake so I just want to verify the job was done properly in case someone did have an off day.

    Have never had a problem with it.
