Haha, when I see you say that, I can't help but remember hearing you over the radio last time I went with you and @eon_blue up Drinkwater... "this is interesting... This is definitely interesting..."

If glamis doesnt happen for me, I might be down for Ocotillo. Just not sure that I'd all the way to superstition.

It would be New Year weekend.

But I wouldn't want to go further than the AMPM to be able to avoid the border patrol checkpoint on the way back.

Going through that checkpoint on a holiday weekend is a pain in the ass.

And I have a little problem with showing any respect for an agency that doesn't respect my constitutional rights. Things always go south.

 

So if you don't go that far what's the difference? Are we going to be in a whole different part of Ocotillo Wells or..?

 

By truck haven and the obstacle course where TDS is at.

my buddy at work did pilot rock ridge this morning.

 

That looks pretty. Makes me want to slow down and enjoy that kind of off roading and nature, instead of constantly zoom zoom zoom

 

Time to start looking into making your rig 4wheel drive so you don't have to zoom zoom zoom everywhere just to make it up a hill. Or... find a new/used 4wheel drive rig. Sell yours and upgrade! Might be cheaper in the long run. Sounds like you want to get more into the off-roading, not just 2wheel friendly fire roads. Something to think about for the future.

 

Honestly I've already decided that I want to go fast most of the time, even though the snow looks quite inviting. Just have to keep ponying up more funds and slowly build my truck into a fun little prerunner . Had a whole conversation about it last Thursday actually haha
Edit: Oh & actually building my truck up a bit would be more cost effective for my personal situation due to certain conditions. I'll probably make a nice trail and camping rig after college though . Appreciate the input Ed

 

I'm already planning it. I'll be heading out on Thursday, the 9th. I'll be camping close to the notches off Marina Drive, right before the AMPM.
