I hear ya about delirious. Pulled a double yesterday, got about 4 hours sleep today so 6am can't come soon enough! Hoping to not be too much of a Grinch in the morning lol. Temps aren't bad tonight, says 23 right now but windchill is in the single digits. Snow is fun, especially the subdivisions that don't get plowed. Kinda nerve racking at times though, so many Californian's moving up here and have no idea how to drive in the snow/ice.

Hey at least I won't be the only one, lol.
That wind up north seems to get the best of people. I visited my friend up in minneapolis 2 weeks ago and it made drivibg fun in my tiny ass rental.(Chevy spark).
Oh I bet. Last few years there hasn't been much hear. I finally have a vehicle capable of driving in any snow now.
And as for the other people driving in the snow and ice is hilariously sad if they're from the south. I spent a few months of winter in houston. The whole city was freaking out over a tiny bit of sleet and everyone called in at my job. They asked if I was willing to work, and I was like one of 3 people who made it in. Every customer was a northerner lol.

Haha true story. Haven't had many issues with the Taco..but descent tires, 4WD, and six 70lb bags of sand on the rear axel makes a world of difference. Counted 6 slide offs into the median on my way into work tonight. I'm sure there were more, roads were horrible yesterday morning. I hear that a lot..was stationed in SoCal for a few years and seemed like they freaked out anytime it so much as rained lol.

Decent tires make more difference IMO than anything else. with cheap, worn out tires it was drift city any time the road was at least damp or i gave it a smidge too much throttle

Exactly that 1/2 inch of snow in what was it Georgia? Last year created havoc.

I could easily lose count counting the sets of bald tires you see down there. Idk how they drive the highway in rain even.

I've been thinking of adding some sand in back, but haven't had any issues yet. For extra traction in case of getting stuck if we have ice again maybe. I don't feel I need the weight at this point. If I see more than a couple inches in the forecast, maybe. Ha

yeah, its kinda crazy sometimes what people let go on thier cars..... its not like you can die if certain things fail or anything

even with reallly non agressive AT's, ive only gotten stuck once and that was me trying to be a jackass and drive through 2 feet of unplowed snow..... that wasnt gonna happen no matter how much lift or what tires i had lol

The weight to me helps with keeping traction on ice in 2WD since the back end of Tacoma's are light as hell. I noticed a big difference going up highway hills on ice and from a dead stop and starting on ice when weight is added to the bed. I know its been discussed forever but to me it helps. I agree with Gaunt596, tires are probably the most important. I'm too cheap to have a second set of studded tires so a good set of all terrain's with good tread work for me.

It's quite easy to get stuck in 1+ feet of snow, especially with ice underneath the snow. 4WD and clearance can only take you so far. Driving for conditions + experience + good setup is about as good as you get and even then your not guaranteed to not be in the ditch somewhere. I think what bugs me the most about driving in snow/icy conditions is people who tailgate or just don't give you any kind of bumper space..cause you know if you need to stop you're getting rear ended + whatever is infront of you. Anyway, /rant over. I'm obviously tired. I hope you all have a safe and Merry Christmas!

Im still in Indiana on vacay. We had some snow when I came up on fri but a brutal downpour all today and 60 deg temps cleared it all. Even the snowplow piles.

I have to work fri so I can get paid for monday. 1 freakin day!! otherwise I would just stay here till after new years.

Just watched the first one a couple days ago. Wife wanted to watch a Christmas movie and I knew exactly which one to go for.

I used to make steam too, from a really "hot rock" while underwater punching holes in the ocean.

Glad I found a late night thread on here to pop in and out of.

Haha good choice. I don't mind traditional christmas movies, but I needed some action flicks to keep me up. Also watched lethal weapon.

That's a pain. Bit at least you don't have to be working new years. I'll be celebrating it while sitting by myself, lol.

Looks like my setup but I have 2 21" split screened each with 4-8 tabs per window. and there's a smart board of a map with a bunch of dots on it on the wall next to a phone que monitor (for micromanagement).

It was surprisingly smooth at the airport today, yet they gave a bunch of people mandatory overtime anyway. and, ive finally started the build process for the Focus, ive got ball joints and Poly bushing for the front end on their way. on a side not, cars are heavy. i had to get the taco to push the focus onto the concrete pad its on

Nice! These are 23" i used to use the laptop monitor as my third display but figured bigger is better lol.

I'd post a picture of the about 50 screens on the wall in front of me but theres a bunch of stuff i probably shouldnt show on a public forum lol
