I helped a stuck neighbor this morning in the snow and now my truck is stuck in 4low. 2016 dcsb off road.

The 4x4 light is not on but the 4low light is. it is for sure in 4lo is there any suggestions i have checked all the fuses i could find and bumped the shift module (thought is was frozen it was pretty dry) on the transfer case.

    Any suggestions help!!

This is the one worry I had about the new trucks. I miss my manual shift lever now!

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
Just multiple attempts in forward neutral and reverse. Also saw someone one time turned truck off and dialed switch to 4hi and it engaged when restarted. Mine did the same for a 10 minute period one day, then finally shifted back to 4hi

Have you tried: turning the truck off, unhooking the negative battery cable, let it sit for a minute then hook it back up.

After that, try starting the truck, put it in N with foot on the brake and shift to 2H. If it will not go on it's own, try putting the truck into reverse, back up a few feet and try again.

It's never happened on my Tacoma but I have had the issue on multiple plow trucks over the years.

I got stuck a couple of times and turned the truck off and put it in 4hi then restarted. When it started it switched back over

Great. I have had problems with the transfer cases before being stuck 4wd in the snow mine got a bunch of snow in it and I had to let it thaw out then it would work fine.

Drive a little in low , come to a stop put it in 4 hi then drive a little then go to 2wd. They are picky, manual transfer case is so much easier.

Another thing check the actuator on the front diff and make sure both hoses are attached.

Take it to the dealer. My Toyota mechanic buddy recently had to deal with an identical Taco problem.

Try changing into 4 hi while rolling in neutral at 2-3 mph.

going to the dealer Monday. Rallying in a corolla in snow is way more fun than a Tacoma will ever be.

Do you prefer Peterson or Tom Scott? Never really liked either dealership.
Double check you don't have your rear locker engaged? Can't really think of anything else that wasn't already mentioned.

I'm not a fan of either also but I bought if from petersons and its closer to home.

I will just rock the corolla for the time being, just spent a nice chunk of change on a truck that should work!

Is it too much to ask to just have a fucking lever on the T case? I swear that the only thing that ever really breaks is the actuator!

What kind of stupid question is that? Of course it is! Just kidding...

This is my biggest complaint about both of my Tacomas.

It will go in tomorrow. Hope it's not out of commission for that long tommyvue.

Pjensen641 I totally agree!! Seriously Toyota wants to compete with jeers with there Trd off road line. Jeeps still run manual levers!
