Hiya Tim
Hope you had a nice Christmas with your family, despite bookending it between work. I worked plenty of holidays during my active duty days; but only once since I started this civil service job.

First nap came up a bit short ... so here I am wide awake again.

 

Hi ya Rob. It was a great Christmas. I went home for santa with the little girl and had to force myself to go to bed. Last night for a couple of days then two more nights on this rotation. It was impossible to get all the kids together at the same time this year, so my other daughter is coming over today after I get a nap. So, three out of four at a time ain't bad I guess. I hope you get some sleep there, buddy!

 

Gotta do what ya gotta do. Today will be nice to not have that next shift looming.

This is our second Christmas since our oldest son, his wife, and our only grandkids moved to Phoenix. I miss having the grandkids around at Christmas. But we had a wondeful day with the youngest son and his fiancee; and the tickets are bought for Phoenix at the end of January.

 

I'm still full.....

 

I did a decent job of not stuffing myself too much. Plenty of leftovers for lunches this week. I should try to sleep more, but mind feels wide awake. Maybe a couple fingers of that irish creme whiskey over ice would do the trick?

 

Glad you had a good day and hope you enjoy your trip down. I believe I remember you going last year. I haven't been there in years. My oldest brother was in Scottsdale since the 70's and has now retired in Mesa. He spends the summers up in Show Low and Pinetop. I really need to get back out there. It is beautiful country and my wife has never been.

I'm full again. We cleaned up leftovers and sweets tonight. I'm wired!

 

Four fingers should do nicely

 

As soon as I ate at moms I drove to in laws and stuffed myself there. Way overdid it. But easy with good food.

 

We still have my trashcan turkey. I need to go to store this am and get stuff to cook axis shoulder stew. And fix my grill.

 

I know! I am a light eater and weigh a buck fifty on a good day. Eating two full plates is unusual for me and it puts me down for the count.

I want to check out Show Low, and that area, sometime. My wife's Aunt and Uncle Winter in Mesa now; we should get to see them in January.

I'm a good eater at 190ish but I burn it off quick. I think I hit the 200 club for a few days.

 

I'm stopping by after work to pick up some of my buddy's special recipe if you know what I mean. Probably a finger and a half of that will do me well.
