The protection package is basically a warranty, if you stain the seats they replace them, if your paint fades or rusts, they replace it, etc etc. I got it as well because sometimes shit happens and its nice they will replace the seat completely or repaint the whole truck.[/QUOTE]

The website says the Protection Package includes:
    • Fabric Guard
    • Lusterizing Sealant
    • Sealant Cleaner
    • Rental Car Assistance Benefit at no additional charge
    • 3 Year/36,000 Mile Warranty
Is the fabric guard and lusterizing sealant something that was applied to the interior and exterior of the truck?

Yes it is typically done before delivery. You should have also gotten a box with 6 spray bottles in it that you can use for additional maintenance. It should be a 7-10 year warranty as long as you own the truck. I believe only the first 3 years are transferable. When I get home tomorrow I'll take a picture of the box you should have received.

If you signed papers and left, they may not have done it. Might need to go back to have it done.

I did not receive a box with 6 bottles in it. Are these fluids supposed to be applied to the fabric interior?

I cant remember all of them but they are for leather, fabric, carpet, plastic, and some other stuff. It's like a home kit that you can use to apply annually. The dealer should have done the interior and exterior for you and then given you this maintenance kit thing.

Just sold my 2009 Jeep Patriot for $6500. Glad I spend the extra cash on the TRD since I was considering an SR5. Feeling good. :)

The dealership is trying to tell me this kit is not part of the Vehicle Protection Program. The package that came on my truck is the one shown below. Can anyone confirm what exactly I was supposed to get or what this package even means. Thanks in advance.

So that was taxes and all?

    That's excellent.

I live in Oklahoma, so I haven't done TTL yet. I believe tax is 3.25%.

Congratulations on the new truck, looks like you got a really good deal. Hope you enjoy the new ride.

Not sure exactly what your protection package is compared to mine, however just as one other post said I got a "kit" also. But based on what the package says, "Sealant Cleaner", you should have got something. That's just how I interpret what I read, I'd ask the dealer again.

I did receive one bottle of sealant cleaner. Just wondering if there was more to it than that.

You might have something different. I looked through my paperwork and found mine is called Resistall NG2 and is warranties for 10 years under CalTex Protective Coatings. So maybe is a regional thing. You were offered something different. I'm sorry I can't help more it's quite curious.

EDIT: I just did some googling around for "vehicle protection package Toyota" and the first few links were different dealers and they had different products and and different services. So it looks like it's dealer specific.

I have the same protection package and all I received was a tube of sealant in the glove box. Other than that, I'm not sure what it all entails.....
