I have a stock TRD sport. At 55 to 65 mph, there is a cyclic rumbling vibration in thd steering wheel and felt through the floor. It does not go away when I engage 4wd. However, it sounds like the symptoms of the faulty needle bearing design other than still bring present with 4wd engaged. Its too high frequency to be tire balance and sounds too high speed for the pinion angle vibration tsb.

Has anyone else had this promblem with no lift and without having it go away with 4wd engaged? I plan to take it in to the dealer after the holidays, but with all the undiagnosed issue others have had...my confidence is not high. I have also heard that it can damage the cv shaft? Is it the splines? Seal surface?

Im at about 1300 miles. Problem showed up about 300 miles in but has gotten worse with cold weather.

I leveled my 16 TRD Sport with a Toytec spacer. Gave me about 1/2"-3/4" lift up front.

Had the vibes at 30mph leaving the shop.

May try a diff drop kit but likely going to get the ECGS bushing and have that installed.

You dont need a diff drop for a 3" lift, why would you need a diff drop for 1/2"? The ECGS bushing is what you need to replace the needle bearing. The diff drop is not the same nor does it accomplish the same thing, at all.

I'm not convinced that is my issue. Next week I am calling the dealer. It's just fine outside of the 55-65mph range....which is where air drove the most.:(
