Really? . I wonder why the installation instructions don't mention issues or adjustments. Strange. Did you video the hinge action to show where it hits?

 

i just flushed my tranmission at 90k, didn't change the filter. Heard that it's more of screen than a filter. Got like 130somethingk now.

 

Did u do a complete flush or a drain/fill?

Manufacturer stated you have to replace the bolts with a flat head screw. They are non-load bearing. I'm surprised the kit doesn't mention it nor provide that..

 

If you don't want it I'll buy it from you...$100

 

The manufacturer just told me he wants to get in contact with you to send you replacement bolts at no charge...

 

Anybody here got a good ear for exhaust leaks? I can hear a weird air noise on the drivers side that only happens during acceleration. I'm running the URD y pipe, so part of me wonders if the crush gasket has gone out at the converter or maybe the converter is toast now.

 

I've also had the intake manifold removed a few too many times at the dealership, maybe they did a shit job last sealing it up.

 

You have to remove the oil pan to get it out

 

Don't do a "flush"... Most places don't do it correctly anyways... Drop the pan, change both oil and filter and be done with it... A proper flush uses only the transmission fluid to push out the old fluid... Never solvent flush the trans...

 

If your intake manifold was leaking air inwards you would see that in a scan tool looking at short term and long term fuel trims... If you see positive numbers the ECM sees more air coming in, that is not metered through the maf.... Am exhaust leak manifests as a ticking on idle and accel, and stops entirely on coast or decel

 

You can bring it by hACKman's, I hear around the forums he's alright... "I'm no gynecologist, but I can take a look"

 

I have ticking during idle and acceleration to go with the air noise. What should I check first?

 

I'm also still under warranty, but would like to avoid the dealership techs if need be. Think they'd like to blame the URD parts from the headers back for my symptomsz

 

Not planning on doin a flush until i hit 100k but i might jus drop the pan to wipe it down. Leave to filter an fill with new fluid.
