just got a text from this guy Mark, who is running the Engage Offroad Rear Long Travel Cantilever suspension...

he wants to roll out with us on Saturday...

you guys have to see this setup in person...

full 17" of travel without cutting up your bed... pure sleeper action...

i might be down..depending on a few things but damnit, i don't want to miss out on another race.

it would be cool tho to check everyones rear end to get ideas for when i cage the rear and go spring under :D which will be very soon!

ok... headin off to bed... see you guys in the morning...

    just to remind everyone...

we will meet up at the Chevron/McDonalds off the Sierra exit off the i-15 north... that exit is the second exit north of the 210/15 interchange...

meet time is 5:30 to 5:45am

we will roll out from there exactly at 6am and make a bee line to Barstow Main, air down, and check out the trucks at Start/Finish...

we will then work our way towards Ant Hill which is a 50 foot drop off on the course, assuming its part of this race... trucks catch some good air there...

it should be just east of road crossing 1 (RX1)... see map below...

    http://www.mdrracing.com/california/1/course-map.pdf

bring your cameras, lawn chairs, ice chests, beer, and snacks...

we will likely chill there for a few hours and then hit the trails ourselves for some wheeling fun...

race radios are strongly advised as there will be a live race going on in the area and it helps to monitor what's going on around us...

terrain is beautiful and challenging, but prerunner friendly... doable in stock...

if you have never been to a desert race, you gotta come out and experience it... this will be a relatively small race due to a schedule conflict with a bigger event in AZ, but that just means more offroading time for us...
